I have 3 Dior 5 Colour Eyeshadow Palettes so far, Mistic Smokys 004, Crush Glow 659 and my newest addition, Misty Mauve 844. They all impressed me dearly, I love all of them.

Each has its own personality and character for a soft, natural look or a more dramatic and sophisticated one and here I have Misty Mauve from Dior’s Fall Collection 2010 for you.

The look is neither too dramatic nor under the natural category. I would wear it for a dinner and after party because of the lips.

This look is super easy to achieve. Eyeshadows are very blendable and pigmented. You can turn the colours up a notch or definitely tone it down by either removing the false eyelashes or changing the lipstick.

Method used for eyeshadow application is the traditional four-shadow way – light, medium, dark on lids and blend with the lightest shade under brow bone. I used the lightest colour, white under my brow bones. Pink - the inner corners of my eyes to “open” them up. Purple taupe – centre of my lids and the darkest smoky purple – outer corners of my eyes.

There is one colour not in used yet which is the matte gray purple. I used it along my lower lash line and blend it upwards, between my brow bone and the darkest smoky purple to create a soft contour for an illusion of deep-set eyes (which I don’t have).

I went really light on my cheeks. If I were to wear it for a dinner and party after, I want my blusher to last even if it’s a barely there colour. I used Ellis Faas’s Blush in S301 as a base and Illamasqua’s Powder Blush in Sin. Sin is a pink blush with strong purple undertone, perfect match for my lips. Illamasqua’s blushers are super pigmented so I very lightly touched my brush once for just a soft hue.

Dior’s Serum de Rouge is amazing. I love the smoothness of it and how it glides on my lips so effortlessly. Finished off the look with Dior’s Addict Ultra-Gloss in Tailored Mauve for the 3 dimensional, shiny lips.
