NAKED Breakfast On A Sunny Sunday

Something a little more vibrant and cheerful this Sunday, before the Monday Blues kick in. This look mainly features the Urban Decay NAKED Palette which I have been using regularly but haven’t had the chance to capture a proper, decent photo off.

You can simply change the lip colour to accommodate your desired look. Use a warm coral-nude lipstick for a more muted finish or a bright red lipstick for a more sophisticated, evening look.

Everything is the same for the look below except the lips (and hair – I seriously need a hair cut tho). I am using MAC Amplified Lipstick in Heartless with MAC Lipglass in Wicked Ways on top. I was experimenting this look for one of my bride-to-be clients as she wanted something a little stronger and different.

For face: I am using Shu Uemura UV Under Base Mousse and Face Architect Illuminating Moisture Fluid Foundation for today. Before I set my foundation with a Shu Uemura Face Powder Matte, I conceal my dark circles and spots with Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage. Finish off by lightly dusting on MAC Truth & Light Magically Cool Liquid Powder for a more polished, radiant complexion.

For eyes: I applied Urban Decay Primer Potion all over my lids, followed by Virgin as a base. Naked was used all over the lids up to the crease. I further enhanced my eyes by adding a touch of Buck on the outer corners of my eyes. Finish off with a black liquid eyeliner for modern and clean-looking eyes. I have chosen a light brown shade for the lower half of my lash line, this will keep the look more natural.

For lips: Prepped my lips with a lip balm before I even started my foundation routine. This helps to moisturize my lips, making them smooth and ready for lipstick application by the time I reach this stage. I applied Toxic Tale directly from the bullet onto my lips and define it with a lip brush. Then, I used a lip pencil to give my lips the perfect frame. Remember to blend the lip pencil and lipstick together.

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful Sunday ahead of you.

  1. So Pretty!!! I Love Toxic Tale on you. I should have gotten it but decided not to last minute!!! Hehe!! And, the look with the red lipstick is very sophisticated and polished.. :)

  2. Voila, red lips for instant glamour; You look fabulous in grown up red ( Everywoman has a signature red, my motto ). Toxic Tale may be the one for you.

Maybe you need to write a post about all the reds you have, with pictures, then your reader could tell you whether warm red or cool red suits you better. We are nosey people keen to help you to find “the one”.

  3. My personal favorite would be the first look, though. The second one looks kind of vavavoom for my taste. And red lips doesn’t really go well with my skin color. But it looks good on you, Joeylove! =)

  4. Hi joey you look gorgeous with bold red lips!
I need your help… I’m thinking of buying my friend a bold red lipstick for her 30th bday… and I need recommendations! her skin tone is rather like yours, can you recommend some red lipsticks that you like? Mac toxic tale is no longer available at mac stores right??
    appreciate your help! :)
