= i don’t like full coverage, i will just conceal abit where necessary and finish off with pressed powder.

(1) On days when I don’t feel like piling on too much foundation but still would like some coverage, I mix my BB cream and tinted moisturizer in equal parts before stippling the mixture on my face. I then set with a light dusting of mineral foundation as a setting powder. The results are similar to that of having liquid foundation on, without having the weight. Although the finish is not as great as the LF, I think it serves its purpose well 🙂 Especially when I’m on the go and don’t want to take the time to go through my whole foundation routine.
(2) I hate the blackheads/open pores around my nose! I also have whitehead bumps that can’t be covered by LF.
(3) I think it’ll help smoothen my skin so that I can finally achieve the flawless look without having to pile on too much foundation.
1. Always use a primer beforehand as it helps to even out your skintonr and conceal your pores. Further, some primers have SPF for sun protection. 🙂
2. Hyperpigmentation on forehead, large pores and blackheads on nose and cheeks.
3. Help hide my pores so foundation, bb cream can go on smoothly and skin appears more flawless.

(1) Because I use waterproof, long-wearing foundation that tends to look cakey or can be a bit drying, I find that I get the best finish when applying with a damp sponge.
(2) My biggest concern would be acne – mostly cystic acne.
(3) In conjunction with acne-prone skin, I also have large pores. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Porefessional and how it minimizes the appearance of pores and I’d be excited to try it out.
(1) What are your tips and tricks for applying your base makeup?
Well, when I do my makeup in the morning, I usually cleanse my face, skip the toning bit and apply my clinique superdefence moisturizer (i double it up as a sunscreen as well, since its got sunscreen factor in it). I let it settle and apply a makeup base. The one I’m using now is from Laneige.Snow dual crystal base (Peachy one?) it brightens my skin immediately!!! And prevents my foundation from oxidizing (which happens alot more than you think! ^^) I normally dot it on my cheeks, forehead, nose and chin and rub it in like a moisturizer. I hate piling things on my face, so I use very minimal! Followed by Laneige Snow Crystal Dual foundation. I loveeeee this product, because it is very sheer. On days I want PURE PERFECTION, I use Nars sheer glow. I normally use 197 brush with it. Again, a little goes a longggg way.
Sometimes I wet a foundation sponge, squeeze it dry and apply my foundation with it, this gives a lighter coverage, and feels alot lighter on the skin. I normally go with the wet sponge because I find I apply it quicker like that, and it looks more natural. Trust me, I get compliments when I go lighter on my makeup base 🙂
(2) What are your main concerns about your complexion?
I’ve got dry, flaky skin around my nose at times, and pores (which are probably inherited from my mum :). I’ve tried the EL Pore Refinishing Serum (I believe that’s what its called?) and it doesn’t seem to work. They are NOT humongous.. sheer makeup will cover it. But maybe because I STARE at myself in the mirror so often, it seems very obvious to me. My base doesn’t really cover it up COMPLETELY, just brightens my skintone I suppose. Besides that, I’ve got rather alright skin I suppose 🙂
(3) Why do you think Benefit The Porefessional will help you achieve a more flawless looking skin?
Because… Pores are NASTY!!! It ruins everything for you, esp when you try to look as flawless as possible; I mean, that’s what’s makeup’s for isn’t it? 🙂 If there’s something in this world that can FIX the problem, I would do whatever I can to try it. But for now, I think I can live with making myself prettier with plainly makeup and skincare and good diet! ^^

1. Always apply lots of moisturizer (mattifying one for oily skin) before applying make-up as foundation would look cakey and ugly on a dry skin.

I always apply moisturizer and wait for around 5-10 minutes! And then i use my primer. Waiting at least 5 minutes for the moisturizer to be absorbed is absolutely important for me as i feel my primer and make up goes on better!

Super enlarged pores, oily skin and gahhh wrinkly under eye!

(1) What are your tips and tricks for applying your base makeup?
I like to mix my liquid foundation with my moisturiser because it gives me a slightly dewy finish. Then I would add some highlighter liquid or powder to the remaining bit left on my cheekbones and nose bridge.

My main concerns are pores, black heads, and dry flaky skin at the side of my nose and under my lower lip.

I guess it’s like smearing a layer of something over my skin to help achieve a smoother look? well and probably the ingredients in the product itself lol.
(1) What are your tips and tricks for applying your base makeup?
1st, put on Makeup Base (after the Sunblock), spread evenly to the whole face including under eyes and eyelids.
Next, apply thin layer of foundation (liquid/bbcream), use tissue overlay the 1st layer of foundation and lightly pat away excess before applying 2nd layer of foundation. Repeat process until the final layer (more layer=thicker makeup) and you’ll get flawless smooth matt finish skin!

Dull skin, Large Pores, and marks left by Acne/Pimples

Benefit could minimise my large pores and make the skin look more smooth and flawless with & without makeup. ^__^

– I think its important to let individual products (e.g. moisturiser, sunblock, primer) set for a lil time before applying the next product. Also do not layer on the products in thick layers, less is better… just apply the base mu in thin layers and use concealers wherever needed.

– large pores on my forehead, nose and cheeks, boohoohoo! some scarring from previous blemishes.

– Open pores secretes oil and look very disturbing if they are not covered up properly. Even if we cannot manage to get rid of pores immediately, the least we can do is to cover them up for a flawless looking skin and i’m wishing that Benefit Porefessional will be able to help me acheive that!

– I let my sunblock set for a minute or two.. I feel my sunblock – Chanel UV Essentiel works as a primer already.. I feel my foundation glides smoothly with this sunblock.

– acne scars, but they’re fading in their own time.. I have to put on concealer though..

I was born with very oily & greasy skin especially my T-Zone area… I’ll put on my moisturizer avoiding those oily spot and let the moisturizer sink into the skin (around 5 minute) before applying my primer.

1) What are your tips and tricks for applying your base makeup? I try to use liquid foundation to conceal and cover all the uneven skin tone instead of using concealer, followed by some blusher to fake the radiance, eyebrow is a must for me! and lastly, drawing eyeliner to make my eyes bigger if I am rushing off to work/school!
(2) What are your main concerns about your compexion? Pimples, at this age I am still suffering from acne! ;( I make sure that I go facial every month to remove all the unwanted blemishes!

(1) What are your tips and tricks for applying your base makeup?
My base makeup is BB Cream. There are two ways to apply it. For a sheer and natural look, I’d squeeze a pearl size of the BB Cream on my palm and rub it against the other palm. Then, I’d smooth it on my face and follow by dabbing. For a more coverage look, I’d place a bean size of the BB Cream on the five areas of my face. Smooth it by dabbing upward on the cheeks, horizontally on the forehead and chin, and vertically on the nose area. I think the most important thing to note when applying BB Cream is to dab it. After which, I’d apply loose powder as it makes the BB Cream to last longer and skin appears to be matte significantly.
(2) What are your main concerns about your compexion?
I have oily and acne-prone skin. My main concerns would be acne, oily skin, and open pores.
(3) Why do you think Benefit The Porefessional will help you achieve a more flawless looking skin?
My pores are visible no matter how I conceal it. I hope to try Benefit The Porefessional, which will help to conceal the pores and make them less visible. By doing that, I would certainly solve one of my main concerns, and have a better and flawless skin.

I just use this really cheap age defense repairing lotion sunscreen from cvs and some nyx cream concealer to cover up the spots on my chin. I have really dry skin and I’m always moisturizing. I guess you would consider this to be my base. I’ve tried so many different foundation base primers and my skin always breaks out. I’ve been sticking to using lotion as a base.
2. What are your main concerns about your complexion?
I have huge pores on my chin that make me feel a bit uncomfortable if I don’t cover then up. Its like the oddest place to have large pores. Kind of embarrassing. I have a lot of break outs to primers and I wish I could find one that really works because foundation with out it looks a little bit chalky and doesn’t last the whole day at work like I need it to.

I’ve tried so many pore minimizing products but haven’t had much luck. My chin just gets dry and the pores tighten for a few min after the wash but there is really not much result after that. That primer has such good reviews! I’ve heard that it’s amazing and people with sensitive skin, like mine, and don’t break out. The whole collection has gotten good reviews from people with dry and sensitive skin. I really wanna try it.

Apply moisturizer, then mattifying primer, followed by liquid foundation/BB Cream. I’ll only use concealer when I think the coverage is not good enough. Last step will be setting with loose powder on my T-zone and eye area only.

(1) I alway moisturise and apply a primer before foundation. I prefer to use my fingers for very sheer coverage and only apply more on blotchy areas like the sides of my nose and sometimes cheeks.

Skincare before makeup! Every morning i cleanse, tone, moisturize. before applying my day cream and sun block. A good skin care routine will lead to good skin, which helps makeup adhere better 🙂 I then use Nature Republic’s French Lime Pore Base to even out the skin surface and create a poreless, smooth base for my BB cream. BB cream is applied with finger tips, as it helps to warm it up and eases the application, as BB cream can be thick and hard to work with. On days when i don’t want to pile on too much makeup on my face, i finish the BB cream with an illuminating powder, such as Guerlain Meteorites/ Skin79 Star glow powder/ The Body Shop Brush on Radiance, and i’m good to go!

Blemish-prone, redness, persistent scars that take forever to fade, large open pores with visible blackheads. Pooh.
