Look In Champs-Elysees

Realised I have not done a look with bright lips recently and the funny thing is, Summer is all about bright lips. So, before Summer is gone, I have some hot pink lips for you. This look – winged eyeliner and bright lips, is one of my favourite looks of all time because it’s so easy to achieve and yet it gives a pop, not boring at all. Perfect for day and night.

For face: Simple, clean and light. I opted for a base with high SPF because I want very little to go onto the face. Givenchy Photo’Perfexion Light is perfect for this look, its lightweight and quick to apply. Evens out skin tone instantly and set with Givenchy Prisme Libre in Soft White.

For eyes: I am using the Smashbox Inbloom Eyeshadow Palette for this look. I start with Bone just under my brow bones and went in with Golden Rose all over the lid. Define crease with Soft Orchid. Blend. I lined the lower lash line with Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Rose Platine and smudge with Warm Taupe. Apply black winged eyeliner and add some false eyelashes to finish the eyes.

For cheeks & lips: Kept both cheeks and lips very simple. I used Givenchy Le Prisme Blush in Blooming Fuchsias lightly to perk up the skin and applied Guerlain Rouge Automatique in 165 Champs-Elysees to complete this look.

Thank you for reading, what’s your favourite Summer look?

    • Hi Jacqueline,
I prefer the formula of Guerlain Rouge Automatique way more than Dior Addict plus it’s more pigmented too.
Chanel Rouge Allure is comparable to Guerlain Rouge Automatique IMO, both are great for dry lips =)

  1. I am so into lipsticks right now. I’m actually trying to collect at least one lipstick from each brand :). I’m definitely going to swatch them at the counters. Champs-Elysees looks so good on you!

    • Oh, that’s a great idea to have 1 from each brand/range =)
Adds up to be a lot tho..
Champs-Elysees looks much better when worn, try it over at the counter..

  2. Hi there, I’ve just discovered your blog after searching for some reviews of this lipstick, may I say your whole look is gorgeous!
I too have Benefit Powderflage but I’m a bit confused as to how to use it (I got it for free when buying another product..) IMO it doesn’t make a big difference when I apply it (usually under the eye), do you use it more as a concealer or a highlighter?

    • Hi Cy,
      A warm welcome to Joey’space =)
Thank you so much for your kind comments!!
Initially, I didn’t know what Benefit Powdrflage was really for and I didn’t enjoy using it but now I do..
Maybe you can try using it to set the concealer under your eyes?
I think it makes a difference especially on photos!!
You can also use it as a highlighter, it’s very natural and understated..
Great for highlighting the cupid’s bow =)

      • Hi Joey, thanks for your reply 🙂 I have used it as you said, I still can’t see much difference, maybe I’m not applying enough, or maybe my technique’s wrong (I’m a newbie to make-up artistry!). What kind of brush would you advise me to use? I currently use a fan brush but maybe I should switch to something “heavier”, if that makes sense.
        Thanks again for your advice!

        • Hi Cy,
I think this product only makes a significant difference on flash photography.
Hmm.. I usually use a MAC 225 or Inglot 6SS to apply, I have never tried using the fan brush that came with it.
Please update me if it works for you, I hope it will =)

          • Thanks again, I have tried with a fluffy brush and it actually looked like it was “doing” something! 😉 Looking forward to your next posts!

            • Hi Cy,
Great that it’s “doing” something for you now =)
The difference is very subtle but has quite a big impact for me, I like it and hope you will enjoy Benefit Powderflage now!!
Drafting a few new posts, too many things to share, I don’t know where to start..
