Look In Keshizumi

Hello everyone, today I will be creating a look with my favourite eyeshadow palette recently from SUQQU – many thanks to Iris who kindly helped me purchased it. I have been using this palette on separate occasions for different looks with different combinations. Today, I will use all the four shades found in SUQQU Blend Color Eyeshadow in 04 Keshizumi for you.

For face: I started off by applying a thin layer of Make Up For Ever HD Elixir to hydrate and smooth out my skin. Follow by applying Make Up For Ever HD Primer in #2 where there is redness. I have chosen a natural base for this look using BECCA Luminous Skin Colour Tinted Moisturiser SPF 25+ and setting it with BECCA Fine Loose Finishing Powder.

For eyes: I prepped my eyes with Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow in Bone 1 prior to applying the eyeshadows. I applied white under my brow bones then I went in with taupe all over my lid and along the lower lash line. I darken the outer corners of my eyes with the dark brown - to define and add depth of my eyes. I added a touch of light blue to the inner corners of my eyes – to brighten. Finish off with some false eyelashes.

For cheeks & lips: I used the lighter shade of SUQQU Balancing Cheeks in 02 Mukuge to highlight my cheek bones and the darker shade along the cheeks. Finish off with a soft pink lipstick and add a little gloss to the centre of the lips for that extra pout.

Thank you for reading.

  1. Hi Joey (:

Do you normally put like toner, serum, moisturizer, sunscreen first, then start with primer, foundation and so on?
Or do you use moisturizing primers/foundations and skip the first few steps of skincare regime?

Im asking because, I normally put toner, serum and moisturizer, then sunscreen. And when I finally start on the makeup, it feels like there’s so many layers there. Am I supposed to wait like 5-10 minutes with each application so I won’t feel this way? Or do you think it is ok to use a moisturizing primer/foundation without using the usual skincare?

I’m a normal-combination skin type too (oily on the T-zone areas)

    TIA!

    • Hi Stephanie,

Looks like we have a similar skin type..

In the morning, I usually apply;-
      1. Toner
      2. Serum
      3. Moisturizer
      4. Sunscreen
      5. Makeup Primer
      6. Foundation

I wait for about 2-3 minutes for the product to settle down before apply the next. If you feel that there’s too much going on, use a tissue and press so it absorbs the excess – I feel that this works well for me.
If you still feel too heavy, switch to an emulsion instead of a moisturizer or you can opt to skip the serum. Sunscreen is absolutely essential, please do not skip that!! You might also want to skip makeup primer too, if you don’t need it.

      Hope I helped =)
