Look In Junkshow, Ace, Blackout & A Little Midnight Rodeo

Hi everyone, I did this look out of boredom one day and thought of sharing it with you. Every time I look at the beautiful Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette (view swatches here), 101 combinations pop up and it’s the matter of narrowing down the choices and get on with it. Seriously, possibilities are endless with this palette and I had no idea what I was going to do – just do it I say. This look is something out of my comfort zone because of the pink. I have not attempted a bright pink look on myself and I have doubts on my ability to make it wearable.

Anyway, picture speaks a thousand words – what do you think?

For face: Concealed my pores with Clé de Peau BEAUTÉ Smoothing Base for Pores and applied a thin layer of Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I didn’t use my Giorgio Armani loose powder to set, instead, I used Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder because I wanted a slightly matte finish – the GA one has micro-shimmers in them. Highlight parts of the face with Benefit Powderflage.

For eyes: I applied a thin layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion and went in straight with Junkshow all over the lids. At this point, one can look really funny with bright pink lids but don’t worry, continue by adding Ace to the outer corners of the eyes. Blend the edges and the two colours together. Ace should occupy approximately 3/4 of the lids, leaving 1/4 Junkshow.

After blending, apply a black eyeliner along the lash line and blend with Blackout. Use Blackout to intensify the corners of the eyes. Use a fluffy brush to pick up some Midnight Rodeo and gently layer over Junkshow to tone down the bright pink. You can skip this step if you like the bright pink – totally depends on your personal comfort level. I toned it down quite a bit because I am not very used to seeing myself with bright pink eyeshadows. Finish the eyes with some false eyelashes.

For cheeks & lips: I went for something really simple for the cheeks. I applied MAC Mineralize Blush in Pet Me along the cheek bones and sheer it by using a powder brush with some loose powder. Because my lips are extremely dry, I applied a thin layer of Bioderma Lip Balm over Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in 31 La Furtive.

Thank you for reading.
