Look In La Bohéme

A simple, clean and fresh look featuring Make Up For Ever La Bohéme Palette (reviewed here). To brighten things up, I paired this look with a pair of statement earrings and mega bright nails.

For a more colourful version of this palette, check out the look Sophia from The Make-up Blogette did here. Sara from Icyabstract also did two looks featuring this palette, a green and a purple.

Nail colour by ESSIEOrange, It’s Obvious!.

For face: Prepped my skin with Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Spot-Control Base UV SPF 35 in Ivory and trying out a foundation sample for this look – Shiseido Perfect Refining Foundation. Before setting my foundation with MAQuillAGE Loose Powder, I used a little Clé de Peau BEAUTÉ Concealer to conceal any imperfections. Pardon the little zit on my cheek.

For eyes: Prepped my lids with Make Up For Ever Eye Prime and went in with the coral shade – all over my lids. I applied the beige shade under my brows and to the inner corners of my eyes. Use a crease/pencil brush to apply the brown shade along the crease to create depth. Apply a brown eyeliner and soften the edges with the brown shade – same goes to the lower lash line.

Apply some mascara and false eyelashes. I have been using the Hourglass Script Precision Liquid Liner in Jett to fill in gaps between false eyelashes – the tip is so fine, it’s such a breeze to use for this purpose. I also applied NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Rue Bonaparte along my waterline.

For cheeks & lips: Has been a long time since I used this blush - NARS Blush in Orgasm, forgotten how pretty it looks. Sculpted my cheeks with Rouge Bunny Rouge Original Skin Blush in Habanera and highlighted my cheek bones with Urban Decay Cream Highlight in Sin.

To complete this look, I have chosen a pair of very subtle coral-nude lips. Lined my lips with MAC Lip Pencil in Boldly Bare and applied a generous layer of MAC Kissable Lipcolour in So Vain. Blot my lips with tissue so it seems like my lips has a natural coral-nude stain from the lipcolour. Dabbed a small amount of MAC Frost Lipstick in “Sandy B” to the center of my lips for an extra dimension.

Thank you for looking.
