My Beauty Picks For Holiday 2011

Very late but these are the products I have enjoyed using from Holiday 2011 collections. In previous picks of the season, the items featured were all in my wish list, products that I have not tried nor purchased. But this post consists of items I have purchased and love.

Which do you prefer? Would you like to see my wish list or a summary of items I like from each season?

To start this post off, I have the Laura Mercier Rose Rendevous Face Illuminator. Unlike most of the highlighters I have which lean cooler in tone, this adds instant warmth to my skin. I really like the texture of this product and the shade – rose gold, is simply too beautiful to pass.

Chanel Glossimer in 297 Sweet Beige is an opaque, nude gloss with shimmer, absolutely versatile – can be worn on its own or layered over other colours.

Elevate and add extra dimension to bright red, pink or orange lips with a touch of Dior Rouge Dior in 217 Or Étoilé to the center of the lips. I have not tried wearing this shade alone but it works wonders over any lip colours – almost like a highlighter for the lips.

Bobbi Brown 20th Anniversary Lip Palette is just genius. I love everything about it. Generally, as a makeup fanatic – lipstick maniac, I can never finish any lipsticks. One of the reasons I like this palette so much is because I get so many colours to wear and that the quantity is small. I got a feeling I can finish a few shades from this palette in another 3 months, yeah to that!!

NARS Semi Matte Lipstick in Joyous Red, a red that’s subtle but still gets the attention. The texture is smooth, colour is opaque and the formula is not drying. I like the subtle sheen peeping through on the lips.

Red nails, my all time favourite. If I don’t have any colours in mind, my go-to shades would be either nudes or red. Dior Les Rouges Nail Collection consists of three stunning, timeless hues of reds. The formula is of great quality and I am so happy I picked them up.

Lastly, an eyeshadow palette I think deserve a mention. The Bobbi Brown Black Ruby Sparkle Eye Palette is my ultimate travel companion – ideal for sparkling up any occasion, day or night.

What are your beauty picks for Holiday 2011?

Expect a post on my Spring 2012 beauty picks soon – a few more items to try out and I will be ready.

Thank you for reading, TGIF.
