According to the Estée Lauder website, the Pure Color Intense Kajal Eye Crayon is creamy, rich and ultra pigmented. Able to deliver intense colour in a single stroke. Glides on velvety smooth and blends easily. This product can be used along the lower inner rim of the eye for extra drama or along the lash line to intensify a smoky look.
This product comes in a form of short crayon which needs to be sharpen and a clear plastic cap. It measure approximately 8cm from end to tip.
I would describe Dramatic Teal as a deep cerulean teal with a matte finish. The texture is creamy but not buttery. The lead is hard which is extremely helpful if you wish to be precise and a little goes a long way – because it’s so intense. The formula also blends very easily – ideal as an eyeshadow base or creating smoky eyes.
Teal is not really my kind of colour, a little too bright for me but this shade is less bright and more wearable in my opinion. It wears well with no fading nor smudging but because the colour is so intense, I have to be extra careful using it – it was quite messy the first time I tried it on.
Below is a look I did awhile ago. I used the eye crayon on both my upper and lower lash line and smudge it with a pencil brush. Although the lasting power for this crayon is superb, it wasn’t difficult to remove at all.
I use my regular Bioderma makeup remover and it’s gone with 2 wipes.
Some items used in the look above includes;-
Lancôme La Base Pro
NARS Sheer Glow Foundation
RMK Blush in Bronze
Teal Topaz nail colour
I must say, I agree with everything Estée Lauder described on their website. I am amazed with how pigmented it is, every stroke delivers perfect colour payoff. This product is so versatile, I might have to pick up the black colour one too before it gets sold out (it might already have).
I wish this product will eventually be included in Estée Lauder’s permanent line and I am very much looking forward to any upcoming new shades.
If you like bold, intense eyeliners that lasts, this is for you. If you often have difficulties with applying eyeliners along the waterline, this is perfect for you. For myself, sometimes, I find it difficult for colours to show up on my waterline and this has helped.
