Look In April

Hello everyone, today I have a look for you featuring the new and limited edition MAQuillAGE Styling Eyes in BR 743 (reviewed here) and their new lipsticks, the MAQuillAGE True Rouge in RD 712 (reviewed here). For more information and availability of this collection, please refer to this post.

It’s a very simple, everyday look – great for work, dinner or even parties. Quite similar to a look I did with the Guerlain La Sélection Couleur Makeup Palette (reviewed here, featured here) and I have the same coloured nails.

For face: I have been testing out the Lancôme Teint Miracle range of foundation and compact powder. For this look, I used the Lancôme La Base Pro, followed by a thin layer of Lancôme Teint Miracle Foundation – instead of setting my foundation with loose powder, I used a buffing brush to dust some Lancôme Teint Miracle Compact Foundation SPF 20 / PA++ over. This combination provides more coverage and fullness, looks relatively flawless too.

To finish my face off, I brushed a layer of MAQuillAGE Skin-Illuminating & Perfecting Powder all over my face with a big fluffy brush.

For eyes: Thicker and straighter brows for this look. I went in straight with shade (1) all over my lids and under my brow bones. Applied shade (3) to my lids – stop just below my crease and used shade (2) to blend the edges. I darken my upper and lower lash line with shade (4) and finished off by applying some shade (5) to the inner corners of my eyes, along the inner third of my lower lash line as well.

PLEASE REFER TO NUMBER CHART BELOW FOR REFERENCE

Tight line my upper lash line with a black eyeliner and I used Benefit Magic Ink Jet-Black Liquid Eyeliner to draw on the wing eyeliner. Apply some mascara and false eyelashes to complete the eyes.

For cheeks & lips: I used my trusty Rouge Bunny Rouge Original Skin Blush in Habanera to contour my cheek bones and applied a small amount of Dior Rosy Glow to the apples of my cheeks.

Prior to applying my makeup, I usually apply some lip balm to soften my lips – here, I am using Clarins Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm. I lined my lips lightly with MAC Lip Pencil in Boldly Bare and applied MAQuillAGE True Rouge in RD 712 on the lips with a lip brush.

I also applied a very tiny amount of Smashbox Artificial Light Luminizing Powder to my cupid’s bow for that subtle definition and extra pout.

Thank you for looking.
