Rescue Beauty Lounge Nail Polish In Poppy & Ghost

Today, I have two absolutely stunning nail colours from Rescue Beauty Lounge for you. Both Poppy and Ghost are from their most recent collection entitled Georgia On My Mind – in short, GOMM.

Each bottle retails at USD20, approximately S$25 for 12ml of product, made in the USA.

You can purchase directly from Rescue Beauty Lounge website, they ship internationally. To qualify for free international shipping, you must spend USD200 which is equivalent to approximately 10-12 bottles of nail polishes – I think sharing an order with a few friends is the best option.

This collection got into a bit of a problem with copyright issues and has caused the entire collection of seven shades to be renamed. You can read more about what happened on Ji’s blog here, as well as all the original names before the change.

As a fan of RBL nail polishes, I must show my support – to their beautiful array of nail colours as well as their quality formula. I placed my order of all 7 shades from the collection after the incident and I will be reviewing 6 of them on this blog. Each and every box has Ji’s autograph and I kept a few as a token of remembrance.

Without further ado, let’s see how beautiful Poppy and Ghost are.

Inspired by a sea of poppy fields and piercing golden sunlight – Poppy is a vibrant tomato red with specks of gold.

This shade is cheerful and fun – it also seems to brighten up my complexion. The specks of gold make the tomato red base somewhat more complex and mysterious – although the specks are not prominent on the nails, it reflects a glamorous golden sheen when light hits.

Inspired by first appearance of the muted, twinkling stars – Ghost is a rich chocolate bronze with multi-coloured metallic shimmer.

This shade is absolutely breathtaking and I am so in love with it. It is a possible one-coater and the consistency is nice and thick. I love everything about this shade and whenever I have it on, I can’t stop admiring it from every angle.

Overall, these two shades did not disappoint. There is absolutely nothing I dislike about them. Both have a smooth texture and easy-to-work-with consistency. Do note that Ghost has a marginally thicker consistency but still applies nicely. Both shades apply evenly without streaking.

Thank you for looking.
