Dior Diorific Vernis In 901 Diva

Hello everyone, I am back with swatches of the Dior Diorific Vernis in 901 Diva. This bottle of nail polish retails at S$40 for 12ml of product, made in France.

As you all may have noticed, I am still in the mood for some deep, dark nail colours – I am still very much obsessed with them so I had to pick Diva up. It is quite usually for me to pass the red, shall see – I may pick Marilyn up too along the way, if it hasn’t already been sold out.

Anyway, back to my current obsession.

The packaging of Diorific Vernis is one of a kind, it’s glamorous yet cute at the same time. This particular version with Diva in it reminds me a little of Lady Gaga’s Fame perfume – like a little sister. Presented in a rounded glass bottle with gold details, gorgeous. Comes with a flat tip brush instead of the usual rounded brush applicator.

Diva contains multi-coloured sparkles suspended in black base. Distribution of the sparkles are quite even and they glisten under any form of light beautifully. The sparkles reflect a sort of understated murky olive/brown with a touch of gold – I love the intensity and complexity.

First coat of Diva can be some what patchy and uneven but as soon as the second coat goes on, it evens up all flaws with a glossy finish. Consistency of this hue is nice and thick, texture is creamy and smooth. I had no problems handling it and two thin coats worked best for me. The flat tip brush applicator is easy to use and needs no extra attention.

Overall, love.

I might do a post on my current favourite dark nail polishes soon. Stay tuned.

Thank you for looking.

Swatches taken under natural sun light without flash. Swatches swatched with Nail Tek Foundation II, 2 coats of nail polish and Seche Vite Top Coat.
