There are a total of 22 stunning and irresistible shades. The 22 new long-wearing shades are available in 3 intensities and 4 finishes so we can mix and play to achieve a signature statement for ourselves.

The 3 intensities are;-

  • Fresh & Luminous
7 fresh shades to choose from to create a soft halo of light on the eyelid: the palest eyeshadows caress the eyes with sand, pink and blonde tones. These voluptuous shades each add their own note of freshness.

    • I102 Pépite Douce
    • I106 Tendre Rosée
    • S100 Trésor Glacé
    • S110 Etolle d’ Argent
    • P102 Sable Enchanté
    • P203 Rose Perlée
    • M102 Beige Nu
  • Chic & Sophisticated

More intense shads give bold glamour to the eyes: emerald, deep violet and chocolate dress up eyelids for an ultimate smokey look.

    • I202 Erika F
    • M203 Blue Nuit
    • M305 Midnight Violet
    • P209 Violine Trésor
    • S304 Violet Divin
    • S310 Strass Black

And the 4 finishes are;-

  • Matte (M)
    For soft, velvety finish

Matte shade are usually dull and Lancôme unites a matte finish with luminosity, have their formula enriched with “liquid light” and become more radiant.
  • Pearly (P)
To create a luminous silky halo

Enhance with pearly particles, light up with shimmering reflection with a long-wearing finish. The color result on the skin stay true to the eyeshadow shade.
  • Iridescent (I)
To boost aura of the eyes

With exceptional concentration of pearly particles, each shade make the eyelid lastingly glow with light. The extremely fine texture gives them excellent hold. Makeup doesn’t build up in the eyelid fold. Stay radiant from morning until night.
  • Sparkling (S)
    For a dazzling result

Thanks to scintillating pearly particles that act like couture sequins. The “Erika F”, “Bleu Nuit” and “Strass Black” shades are particularly suitable for Asian Skin tones.

Please head over to Everbluec and Evonnz for swatches of all 22 shades.

Lancôme Ombre Hypnôse (3)

P204 Perle Ambrée is a mid-tone ash brown with subtle shimmers – falls under the Chic & Sophisticated intensity and has a pearly finish.

This neutral, warm shade works well as an all over lid colour on dress down days. It’s work and play appropriate as the shimmers are subtle. This shade can also be used to define creases or deepen the corners of your eyes. It’s a great lid contouring shade if your skin tone is close to mine.

Lancôme Ombre Hypnôse (4)

I202 Erika F is the queen of this series, if I can only choose one shade – it would have to be her.

This high-impact, metallic gun-metal hue sparkles wherever you go. You can pack it over your entire lids or use it sparsely over any eyeshadow colours. It glows and draws attention straight to your eyes.

Lancôme Ombre Hypnôse (5)

P205 Lagon Secret is a cheerful pop of robin egg blue – a blend between green and blue with a sophisticated pearly finish.

For me, I find the best way to pull off such a shade is to add it to the corners of my eyes or run it along my lower lash line. This pop of hue helps add a touch of youthfulness and fun to my everyday neutrals.

Lancôme Ombre Hypnôse (6)

If I202 Erika F is the queen, P207 Bleu de France would be the princess.

This elegant bleu de France softly embraces the X-factor and makes wearing blue a lot easier as it’s neither too sharp nor solid. It makes a great hue for a sheer wash of colour across the lids or pair it with the queen for a night out.

THE OVERVIEW

I couldn’t ask for more, these eyeshadows are soft and silky to touch, and applies smoothly across the lids. They require very minimal effort to blend and adhere to the lids easily – even without a primer. The colours stay brilliant throughout the day and I experienced no fading nor creasing.

Each of them has good colour payoff and I appreciate the brighter shades being somewhat pearly and iridescent in finish. They bear a sense of translucency which makes wearing bright colours more approachable – especially for those who are colour shy or starters who wish to explore greens, blues and violets.

I think Lancôme nailed it – they made Color Artistry easy. And I love the entire range  of 22 shades.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO

If your collection is missing a metallic gun-metal shade, pop of blue or a mysterious violet – check out this range of Lancôme Ombre Hypnôse Mono Eyeshadows. Or if you would like to explore wearing brighter colours, add P203 Rose Perlée, P205 Lagon Secret and S203 Eclats de Violet to your shopping list.

This range of eyeshadows definitely have lots of room for expansion and I can’t wait to see what colours Lancôme will add-on for year 2013.

Thank you for looking.

  1. I love the neutrals more because I probably will get more mileage out of them. But that being said, the blues are uber pretty too. I can’t wait for you to do an eye look.
