February is a short month but I have finished yet another 6 items – actually 5, I finished the EVE LOM cleanser a while ago but forgot to include in my previous empties posts. Here goes, another bunch of skincare, mask and makeup removers.

KIEHL’S RARE EARTH DEEP PORE CLEANSING MASQUE with Amazonian White Clay

S$45 – 142g, USA

I believe it was around May last year where Kiehl’s collaborated with George Young to raise awareness for the children from Autism Association (Singapore). You can find information about this collaboration here – if you have missed it.

For this collaboration, Kiehl’s came up with this Limited Edition Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque, featuring the works of  Ketna Patel – an Asia Pop Art Artist. And Kiehl’s donated 100% of the nett proceeds from the sale of this item to Autism Association (Singapore) for renovation work in Eden Children’s Centre (Clementi and Simei).

Featured in my July 2012 favourites post, I have finally finished it. This tub of mask lasts me for almost 9 months – I use it every week and apply all the way done to my neck area. I like how clean my face is after using this mask and it doesn’t feel drying. I use it weekly, over the weekends. If my skin feels extremely congested, I will use it twice.

CLARINS WHITE PLUS | HP WHITENING VELVET EMULSION*

S$92 – 75ml, France

More Clarins again this month. Have been using this emulsion for the longest time – the bottle seems to last forever and I am quite sad it has finished. This is probably one of the best emulsions I have tried so far because it works so well on me.

I have mentioned this product on several occasions – one of the top 100 products of 2012, my night time skincare routine, my August 2012 favourites and you can read all about the technology in this post here.

For those of you who haven’t given this emulsion a try, I am afraid you won’t have the chance – unless you grab it before the stock entirely phases out. Because Clarins will be launching a new range of improved and reformulated White Plus Total Luminescent next month.

In the new range, Clarins has also included an emulsion. Besides the differences in ingredients, the scent, touch and finish are also different. I am test driving the new formula and I can’t wait to share my findings with you soon.

CLARINS GENTLE FOAMING CLEANSER with Cottonseed for normal or combination skin

S$42 – 125ml, France

One of my long time go-to or rather go-back-to foaming cleanser. I have used up several tubes in the past. This is the most basic cleanser which cleanses my skin thoroughly but gently, leaving my skin clean but not dry.

If you need a foaming cleanser in the future, this is a good one for basic cleansing.

ETTUSAIS FOAMY RICH MOUSSE*

S$32 -180g, Japan

Almost everyone I know who uses this mousse cleanser, loves it. Me too. Launched last August, this cleanser is a 5-in-1 product. It acts like a makeup remove, cleansing foam, facial mask, you can use it to massage and it’s gentle on the skin. In Japan, spas use rich foam as a form of aesthetic treatment. It has an elastic bouncy film formula and microscopic micro mousse.

I don’t use it to remove makeup. I try to leave it on for about 2 minutes when I am in the shower, in the morning but I mainly use it for a quick wash as part of my day time skincare routine.

CHANEL LE BLANC IMMEDIATE BRIGHTENING OIL-GEL MAKEUP REMOVER

S$75 – 150ml, France

The first oil-gel makeup remover I have tried. I received a sample for this product and fell in love with it – bought the full size and enjoyed it.

It comes in a tube and the gel is clear, feels almost cooling when spread over the face. As I massage, the gel breaks down and turns into an oily residue but not cloudy. This makeup remover is excellent for removing sunscreen and base makeup. For waterproof eye makeup and mascara, I recommend using a separate eye makeup remover.

After cleaning the makeup remover with sponge soaked in warm water, my skin feels clean and clear. There’s no oily remains nor film like veil over my skin. I really like this makeup remover and I will purchase it again but before that, I have a few other makeup removers to try out – so I shall be patient.

If you wear light makeup on a daily basis, I highly recommend this.

EVE LOM CLEANSER*

S$90 – 50ml // S$120 – 100ml // S$185 – 200ml, England

Another makeup remover which I finished a while ago. This is a press sample I received from the brand. I finished this so quickly – even before giving it a proper review. Don’t worry, I have another tub and I shall review in full soon.

This product brings removing of makeup to the next whole level. It makes cleansing a ritual and I very much enjoy it. I tend to spend a lot of time at night cleaning my face and applying skincare – something I don’t do in the morning because I really have no time.

During Christmas last year, I bought 2 sets for my girlfriends and they love it. One of them only use it over the weekend because it’s more time-consuming. She prefers to enjoy the process thus using it over the weekend is some what pampering.
