Although Laura Mercier is readily available in Singapore, I prefer getting them abroad – over the counter at a beauty hall. Perhaps it feels better? I don’t know.
Nothing much caught my attention as I wasn’t intending to get anything from Laura Mercier this trip. But I had the urge to just go over and have a peep. Honestly, I wanted to try their foundation and loose powder having heard so much about them.
Wait a minute, haven’t I got enough bases and foundations?
I totally love buying bases, foundations, loose powders and finishing powders. The concept of creating the perfect canvas was drilled in my head since I learned painting during high school. And being a makeup artist, I soon realised that the canvas is truly important.
I picked up the best-selling and award-winning Secret Camouflage. The unique two-shade system is totally genius. One to match the skins depth of colour and one to match the skins undertone. Best of all, I can mix and match to create my own perfect shade. This will come in particularly useful because everyone’s skin tone changes every now and then.
Mineral Foundation Primer was another thing I got, simply because of its mineral formula, the ultra-silky and the weightless finish.

You should consider getting the set if it’s the oil-free tinted moisturizer and mineral primer. I am loving them. The tinted moisturizer is so convenient, especially if you are rushing for time. I use it alot when I need to run errands. It brightens up my complexion, giving it a healthy glow but not having too much on.
As for this mineral primer, it sits well into my skin. It doesn’t feel like having a layer of something on, if you know what I mean. And the silky texture evens out my skin, making it smoother.

i think i may get a sample of the tinted moisturizer before buying a full sized one (my skin doesn’t behave very well). I have LM Lotus Pink Blush and it’s very pretty! it’s one of their newer blushes (it’s a bright pink, very cute imo – not as pink as NARS Desire). i also have to check LM mineral mu line!! i’ve been hearing raves about it

Ideal for trying a product especially when it’s for all-over-the face.
