Another month, another 5 of my all time favourites for July.
I have only started purchasing makeup from Dior earlier this year and I am well impressed with their beauty line. DIORSKIN NUDE Natural Glow Hydrating Makeup is one of my favourite foundations so far and I have been using it pretty much everyday. The texture is smooth and light, perfect for daily use. It feels refreshing when applying and hydrating wearing it. Although it is sheer, it provides an even coverage. A foundation that evens up my skin tone and brightens up my face instantly.
Make Up For Ever HD Blush in #5 gives a natural glow on the apples of my cheeks. It blends onto my skin effortlessly and I only needed a very tiny amount. This blush is extremely buildable. I apply several thin layers when I am in need of more colour. Or I use it as a base to hold my powder blush sometimes for that extra durability.
One product I never regret buying is Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage. I am not a concealer expert and I don’t have a lot to conceal. I conceal mainly my dark circles, spots and at times, zits. I also use concealer lightly to cover redness around my nose, lips and chin. This product is not creamy at all, in fact it feels dry-ish to the touch but it blends into the skin really well. It is ideal for people with oily and/or combination skin like myself. The unique two-shade system allowed me to adjust the colour when applying. I mix them accordingly to the specific areas I want to conceal. I am absolutely loving it, no doubt.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Shadow Creme in Ivory Lace really stays in place. All day and any day without fail. It feels very similar to MAC Paint Pot but it dries a lot faster and it’s less blendable. Why is it in my list of favourites this month? I have been using it throughout my entire Australia trip and it never smudged. I did not apply any base prior to applying the cream shadow and I did not apply any eyeshadow on top of it. I wore it simply on its own. The colour Ivory Lace is very close to my skin tone, it gives a very natural glow on my lids. Simple, 1 min application.
Very rarely you will see me wear liquid liner. To be fair, I love the finish of liquid liners but when I apply on myself, I find it very messy and time-consuming waiting for it to dry. Not only does MAC Liquidlast Liner dries almost instantly, it lasts through tears. And that makes it kinda difficult to remove actually. However, I have over come my fear of wearing liquid liners and now, I am totally in love with it. It’s super pigmented, I only needed very little each time and the applicator allows me to draw a very thin, sleek line but also a thick, chic line.
Great tips, thanks! I have been searching for a light foundation that makes skin look better so am going to check-out the Dior.
Hi,
You are welcome.
Ask for some sample before buying the actual size, ok?!
Laura Mercier concealer is fabulous, and lasts ages.
Totally agree =)
Thank you for recommending all the products! I have not tried liquidlast eyeliner before, may go check it out after work tomorrow 😉
Great, glad you find these write ups useful =)
Hope you like the liquid eyeliner, MAC used to have them in many colours but not anymore.
