Look 1 – Blue Dahlia.
And Look 2 – Surreal Violet.I have been wanting to check out this collection for a long time but today, when I finally did, I was a tiny bit disappointed with the number of products Singapore brought in from this collection.
They only had the 5 Colour Eyeshadow Palettes and the Pure Colour Glosses. No Pure Colour Nail Lacquers at all. I was hoping to get both the colours from this collection. And no Pure Colour Eyeshadows.
EDITED on 4 August 2010:
The day I visited Estee Lauder at Metro Paragon, nothing was on display, only the palettes which made me disappointed. I asked the MA and she said “no, we only have the palette.”
My bad for not checking other counters thus providing wrong information. Today, I popped by Takashimaya’s Beauty Hall and I was so surprised the entire Blue Dahlia collection was on display. I was so happy.
So, I left with only the Blue Dahlia 5 Colour Eyeshadow Palette, S$68.
So, I didn’t only leave with the Blue Dahlia 5 Colour Eyeshadow Palette, S$68 from this collection. I also bought the Pure Color Nail Lacquer in 0M Surreal Violet, S$26.
The packaging of this palette is very sleek and lightweight. A mirror finished lid with Estee Lauder’s logo printed on it in gold casing. Base is made of clear acrylic if I am not wrong.
The palette holds 5 varying colour intensities and finishes; matte, satin, shimmer and metallic.
Swatches taken indoor with flash.
This palette is not a must buy but good to have. If you have blue eyeshadows, skip this totally. I am not regretting it but it’s not amazing. I can foresee myself using it because of how versatile this palette can be with the light and dark shades.
There are good reviews out there with looks created with this palette, google them as I may be the only one not so excited about this. However, I will attempt to do a look with it, hopefully I will find more love along the way.
Thank you for reading.
