Aureolin Russet is a look featuring Shu Uemura’s Pressed Eyeshadow in ME300. An amazing bright metallic shade of yellow. Wearing yellows have been challenging for me because of my skin tone, it’s a little difficult to pull off at times. I have tried many yellows and I must say, this is one of the few which looks fine on me.
On a side note, I think Shu Uemura is going to discontinue ME300, so if you like this colour, go grab yours soon.
I have slightly darker brows for this look. The idea is to frame my eyes and face a little better as yellow can wash down my skin tone.
First, I applied ME300 on the inner corners of my eyes and ME810 on the outer corners of my eyes. Blend and darken the most outer corners with M990. I repeat the same colours for my lower lash line. Then I applied IR800 under my brow bone as a highlight colour. Blend out all the harsh edges and finish off with a brown eyeliner.
I have chosen a longer pair of false eyelashes to amp up the entire look. MAC’s False Eyelashes #35 is longer in the center which made my eyes seem bigger instantly. This pair of lashes is semi-full I would say, not too dramatic at all.
I went for a light peach colour on the apples of my cheeks and contoured with MAC’s Matte Blush in Spice.
Finished the look with a pair of natural, nude lips.
That’s it, it’s simple with a pop of cheerful colour. I hope you like this look and wearing bright colours can be fun, just have to keep finding the right vibrant shade for your skin tone. I have found my yellow, have you found yours?
These are the colours I used and this is the palette I put together for this look. Shu Uemura Empty Palette retails at S$20 each. I recently got a few of them so I can depot all my eyeshadows and fill them up in fours. It’s like DIY Eyeshadow Quads which made it easier for me to use.
Shu Uemura Empty Palettes are not magnetic, neither are the pans. The pans fit nicely into the palette. And because they are not magnetic, it can be messy if you bring them out, the pans do pop out of the palette. If you travel with them, I suggest you don’t remove the glue so the pan sticks to the palette. You can probably label the back of the palette with the colour codes.
