Shoppings / The Look Book

NARS From Nordstrom

More NARS for my collection. Here are some of the items I got, either from their permanent or past collections. Some of them are items I have been wanting to try but couldn’t get hold of when I was at their counter during my travels. And some, are just too difficult to resist.

Love the names of all NARS’ products especially these ones. I have not tried any of their Cream Blushes but I went ahead with 3 anyway and they are Cactus Flower, shimmering poppy, Penny Lane, nude pink and Enchanted, soft peach with gold sparkle.

Cactus Flower looks really bright, wondering if it’s going to be like Exhibit A. Got a Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara too.

And lastly, a Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in Goddess, a glistening pink champagne colour. This is one of NARS’ newest products and they provide easy, portable and long-wearing application. These jumbo sized pencils can be used on the lid as a base or eyeshadow, as eyeliners or as highlighters.

Personally, I will use it for the inner corners of my eyes and/or even around the tear ducts to brighten and enlarge them.

In case you are wondering, it doesn’t come with a sharpener.

Have you tried any of the above? Share your thoughts of the products with me and if you need me to do a write-up/swatch/compare any of the above, let me know.

Items above are part of my Online Shopping Frenzy. I have separated them into individual posts either by category, brand and/or collection. I will do a summary of my purchases and a write-up on my online shopping experiences and places I got the items from at the end of all postings.

Thank you for reading.

  1. Cactus flower is not as scary once you blend it in. Penny lane is a very nice dusky nude.

Tell me what you think of enchanted. I read that it is very sheer and the colour was too light to be noticeable once blended.

    • I am hoping Cactus Flower will look great after blending because I am loving the colour so much!!
Ok, I will do a swatch and write up on Enchanted =)
If it’s not sheer, I believe it will look lovely for our skin tone..

  2. Joey, I have Cactus Flower too! I think you’ll prolly use a light hand with it? Its not creamy-creamy like the Bobbi Brown Rouge Pots though. I have gold member too but yet to use (terrible!) and I haven’t touched Exhibit A!!! Argh … too many haven’t / never / not yets already!

    • Ahh.. We have similar tastes!!
I realized that they feel slightly powdery to touch as compared to BB Pot Rouge.. which is great, really =)
I kept swatching Exhibit A, thinking what are the looks I can create with it, so far, no luck yet..

Yes, you gotta open all bnib items and just use them!!

    • I tried Enchanted yesterday afternoon..
It’s not too glittery (compared to the glitters in Lamu) and it gives the perfect sheen for a radiant look..
BUT it is too sheer, I guess it will only work (as in the colour will only show) on much fairer/darker skin..
Skip Enchanted totally if you are intending on using it as a blush..
Since I have purchased it, I guess I will use it as a highlighter to enhance my cheekbones..
Or as a base!! How would I wish it to be a tad more pigmented..

      Am still testing the mascara..
So far, it lasts throughout the night (from 8pm all the way to 5am)..
No smudging at all but it’s not volumising enough for my liking..

      Hope these help =)
