SISLEY, A French Brand

I am sure you all know Sisley and have seen their elegant counters at most Beauty Halls. Me too, all the time. But I have never bought anything from them before and to be fair, I have also associated Sisley to fashion instead of cosmetics.

A bad day at work brought me a step closer to Sisley.

Established in 1976 by Hubert d’Ornano, Sisley is a French company that creates and distributes skincare, makeup products along with very fine perfumes. Their products derived from natural plant extracts and essential oils.

Therefore, I bought several makeup products to try.

Phyto-Teint Eclat Compact (S$150) is the radiance, comfort and wear of Phyto-Teint Eclat Fluid in a compact version. It’s an ultra-luminous, velvety smooth, melting powder foundation for a flawless and glowing complexion.

I also got myself an Phyto-Ombre Eclat Eyeshadow in Quartz (S$55), a very pretty colour which I am currently crazy with. This eyeshadow is very blendable with decent colour payoff. It applies smoothly and stays on for at least 6 hours without primer (on me).

Phyto-Khol Star in Smoked Topaze (S$64) is too beautiful to miss. I am loving the “diamond” at the back of the pencil and the glittering, shimmering highlights.

Lastly, a Phyto-Lip Shine in Sheer Nude (S$58). I picked up a nude colour this time because I have been buying some deep, dark shades lately. It’s a glossy treatment lipstick, “more colour than a lip gloss, more shine than a lipstick“. It’s creamy and lightweight for everyday wear, for all occasions.

Swatches taken indoor with flash.

Smoked Topaze is a burnt umber with silver glitter. It applies rather smoothly but it’s not creamy. Sheer Nude is a very pretty and glossy coral-pink nude lip colour for all occasions, I have been wearing it almost everyday since I bought it. And Quartz is mauve taupe with hints of grey. It applies smoothly and blends well, the texture is soft and smooth too.

I am still testing these products, comments above are my very first impressions of them.

Have you tried any Sisley products before?

  1. Great shades, I had used Sisley skin care for quite a while but just recently ventured into its colour products. I like Phyto lip shine.

By the way, Quartz & Topaze look amazing on your swatch, I am going to try these out next time. I am waiting on your review of the compact foundation; You are shade 01?
