MAC A Tartan Tale: Holiday Colour Collection

MAC A Tartan Tale: Holiday Colour Collection

We’re telling a slightly twisted Tartan Tale to celebrate holiday, in all its posh, punk, ancestral, anarchic, noble and naughty glory. Royal and raunchy, colours and patterns collide, fantasies come true, punk fairies take flight with enchanted new looks. Be transformed!

MAC Cosmetics

The individual colour items for this collection hit the counters on Friday and I happened to be in town, so I picked up several products from TANGS Orchard. Surprisingly, there was no crowd and I had the luxury of time and space to swatch most of the products.

I sticked to pretty much what I had on the list except the blush and nail polish. I didn’t think I will pick up the Nail Lacquer in Style Clan as it immediately reminds me of Earthy Harmony from the MAC Nail Trend F/W Collection. They are both Frost with gold glitter and are from the same colour family but Style Clan is a whole lot darker.

Initially, Satin Powder Blush in My Highland Honey was in the list but I ended up getting Her Blooming Cheek. I like how bright this blush is and I can only imagine how fun it is to put on and trying to pull it off.

Next are the incredible Pearlglide Intense Eyeliners in Lord It Up, Black Line and Black Swan. The texture is perfectly smooth and creamy, glides on effortlessly, it doesn’t smudge nor fade. Colour stays true throughout. I have 6 of them including this purchase, 3 are from the Art Supplies Collection in April.

Have been quite excited about the new Pigments in this collection, I got all three of them in Later., Moonlight Night and The Family Crest. All 3 are deep, dark shades with their own character.

Lastly, I got a Lustre Lipstick in Cut A Caper, a coral pink and Glaze Lipstick in Courting Lilac, a mauve with hints of purple and gold reflects. They are both pretty wearable shades for everyday. Am thinking about The Faerie Glen and Full Fuchsia, should I get them too?
