Seems like I have been kind of adventurous recently. For the sake of beauty, I splurged on some skincare and makeup products again.
I don’t usually stick to using just one brand or one product all the time, for skincare as well as makeup. We are all pampered with choices, why narrow ourselves to only one? I love trying new things and will keep doing so.
Clarins was my choice this round, have never tried any of their products but my sister likes them. Every six to ten months or so, I switch my skincare products. I jump from one brand to another (totally lack of brand loyalty here). I have used Estee Lauder, Biotherm, La Mer, Chanel and products from my facial therapist before and sometimes, I go back for more.
Like pairing foundation and loose powder, I like to purchase all my basic skincare range (cleanser, toner and moisturizer) from one brand. There are times, I get cleansers or scrubs on an ad-hoc basis too. But overall, I feel that they are meant to be used together and it wouldn’t be complete without one another.
Here is a list of skincare products I got, Cleansing Milk With Gentian (S$43), Gentle Foaming Cleanser With Cottonseed (S$40), Toning Lotion With Iris (S$43) and Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery Cream (S$110). I also got a Skin-Soothing Eye Mask (S$68) and a HydraQuench Cream-Mask (S$65).
Apart from the skincare and masks, I also picked up the Instant Smooth Foundation (S$60) and the Hydra-Luminous Powder Foundation SPF 20 PA++ (casing S$20 and refill S$55).
I have gone about 1-2 shades darker than before and I am desperate to find the right shade of foundation for myself once again. Would love to continue using my existing foundations but this could be a great way (or rather, an excuse?) to explore other lines and range of products.
So, this is Clarins, for the love of beauty.

I can’t believe you’ve not use Clarins before!
I like Gentian cleansing milk, may be too highly fragranced by some, but fine for me. The gentle foaming cleanser ( for normal skin ) is the best, better than the green one ( oily skin ) & light yellow one ( dry skin ); superb cleansing action, extremely foamy, ultra-rinsable, yet gentle.
I prefer gentian toner. The new youth recovery range is so, those creams are really soft,creamy & smells divine. You should get the multi active day cream in cream gel formula as well.
Skin soothing eye mask is a life saver, before I discovered Sisley’s version.
I don’t like the hydra-quench cream mask,it’s a so-so hydration mask, a little bit too greasy for my liking.
On the other hand, I had only tried Clarins loose powder, liquid foundation and lipstick before, excluding what you’ve bought.
Yes right?
