Bobbi Brown Holiday Collection 2010

Did anyone pick up anything from this collection? I did. I picked up two eye palettes which I am absolutely loving at the moment.

First off is of course the Crystal Eye Palette which consist of Amethysta deep metallic violet, Diamond a pale shimmery lilac, Star a glittery white silver and my favourite Peacocka metallic bright aqua with gold pearls.

Am so glad this palette was exactly how I expected it to be because I have been wanting it ever since I saw the promotional pictures.

Diamond is a very pretty overall/base colour which can also be used as a highlight under the brows. Peacock looks fabulous as a middle/overall lid colour. Amethyst can be used to darker the outer corners of the eyes and I usually press Star on top of either Amethyst or Peacock to give my eyes an extra touch of dimension.

Another eye palette which I have fallen in love with is the Bare to Bold Eye Palette. It consists of 6 stunning shades which is ultra wearable for all occasions.

Navajoa matte cream, Cementa matte taupe, Champagne Quartz a metallic beige pink, Quarrya deep brown mavue, Evergreenan antique forest green and Caviara matte charcoal black.

This palette is pretty much an overall, everyday palette. I can go either au naturale with Navajo, Cement and Champagne Quartz or go slightly smokey by adding Quarry and Caviar or I can go a little playful by pairing Evergreen with Champagne Quartz and Quarry.

Textures for all the eyeshadows in these two palettes are pretty much like most Bobbi Brown’s singles. A good combination of matte, shimmer and metallic shades does the job for me, creating an array of possibilities.

Thank you for reading.
