MAC Cosmetics
Here comes the 3rd and final collection I splurged on from MAC this week. The bright and bold hues are simply irresistible. I brought home a total of 8 products from this collection.
Firstly, I have all the 4 Cream Colour Bases for you. Madly Magenta – a cool-toned fuchsia purple, Movie Star Red – a medium-dark pinky-red, Tickle Me Pink – a pale pink and Virgin Isle – a softened orange with a hint of coral.
Guess I got all four of them because they are something new to me and to my collection. I like how pigmented and opaque they are. All of them applies smoothly and blends easily with a buildable coverage. I find that the colours differ slightly when swatched, blended and applied.
In this collection, MAC released 4 pigments, 3 are new and limited edition – Violet (not featured, is permanent). Here, we have the Pigments in Follow Your Fancy – bright coral, New Fixation – fuchsia red and Madly Personal – bright pink. I have always fancied MAC Pigments, they applies smoothly and they are ultra pigmented.
All pigments swatched wet.
Having the “fetish” for plums, Fuildline in Dark Diversion is definitely on the list. Temptalia describes Dark Diversion as a darkened burgundy-brown with berry-wine undertones and subtle berry micro-shimmer. It’s very beautiful.
Would recommend the Cream Colour Bases for those who loves bright cheeks and lips. They are lovely but please be aware that they are not for use in the eye area.
Thank you for reading.
Madly magenta & tickle me pink are must haves, and great for spring summer 2011
Totally agree with you David..
Can I add Virgin Isle to the list?
Virgin Isle is a great coral, and Orange/Coral will be the IT colour for summer; The only think is I am very cautious about recommending corals/oranges to Asians. I find that our yellow undertones could be too much at times when coupled with corals.
True enough, got to be real careful with shades like Virgin Isle..
But if worn properly, no doubt it will look stunning and brighten up our skintones!!
I would have gotten Virgin Isle too but I kept thinking about all the stuff I already have and got totally guilty. Actually, I went w a v short and specific list and still managed to lose control! LOL! Love the pigments on you – now I’m regretting not picking up Follow Your Fancy. Thank goodness I have Violet from earlier hauls (in the old HUGE tub! hee hee!)
I have Violet too from previous collection..
Virgin Isle is something I will get just cos I have this thing over peachy-coral cheeks & lips makeup..
Lol..
I made a list of things-to-get, pretty much kept to it because the list consist of almost everything!!
No good at all but I managed to skip a couple of items from the list =)
