Chanel
Tell me this collection is stunning and totally irresistible. I used to think Chanel’s makeup collections are boring and too mature for me. Perhaps age is catching up, I find their collections nowadays too beautiful to miss and they appeal to me like candies. Les Perles de Chanel Spring 2011 Collection was released last Friday and I know I was in trouble. A serious one. I splurged, again.
I brought home 8 absolutely gorgeous items and the first which got me excited is the Exclusive Creation of Ombres Perlees de Chanel Eyeshadow Palette (S$91). It consist of 5 luminous or intense shades inspired by pearls from all over the world. Colour tones vary from pearly white and porcelain pink to the depths of intense shades of grey – the “it”colour for Spring 2011. All 5 eyeshadows have a powder texture with a creamy feel. Ridiculously seductive, if you ask me.
Next in line are two Chanel Le Vernis in Black Pearl 513 and Pearl Drop 511, each retails at S$35. Black Pearl is a pearly grey shimmer nail colour with deep blue and green reflects, like a Tahitian black pearl. Totally breath-taking. And Pearl Drop is a white gold with pale gold shimmer.
My love for Chanel Rouge Coco continues with two new addition, the Jersey Rose 77 and Peregrina 78, each retails at S$44. Jersey Rose is a rose-pink with a gentle hint of peach, a very soothing and calming colour which will suit most of us. On the other hand, Peregrina is a peachy pink, a brighter and more cheerful alternative. For those who wants a little more attention on the lips, you got to check out the Chanel Rouge Allure in Flamboyante 84, also retails at S$44. Flamboyante is a beautiful muted pink-red. For those who are afraid of wearing bold, red lips, this colour may be the one for you.
I also got the Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow in Regard Perle 20 (S$83). I love the dark forest green colour so much, I got to have it. And lastly, the Chanel Joues Contraste in Espiegle 65 (S$63) came home with me too. Espiegle is a soft peach colour but my photos turned out looking more pink than peach. What have you picked up from this collection? Are you planning on getting anything?
Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day ahead. It’s mid-week today, two more days to the weekend!! I haven’t included any swatches for this collection as I will be doing a look featuring them soon.
Ombres Perlees, Peregrina & Espiegle are my picks.
What about the Black Pearl nail polish David?
Joey, I am having detox from dark nail polish at the moment, haha; it’s a really lovely shade but just not the right timing for me.
Is it LE?
If it is, please get it for future use, it’s such a gorgeous shade!!
I have it on my toes right now =)
