End of last year, Illamasqua had a sale of up to 50% off selected products and shades.

The range of products and shades on sale were quite impressive. Initially, I didn’t pay much attention to the sale but when I browsed through the collection, I couldn’t help myself and I did it again. This time, an order with a total of 30 items. Some are gifts and I might include 1 or 2 items into the existing and upcoming giveaways!! Be sure you check back for any updates on the giveaways. Let’s begin to unwrap and unbox, shall we?

Shipping took slightly longer than usual, probably due to the festive season and stormy weather in Singapore lately. I placed the order on 31st December 2010 and I received the parcel on the 24th January 2011. Almost a month but it’s worth all the waiting. I have not included any swatches in this post because some items are not for myself.

 First off, we have the Powder Blushers in Kiss and Rumour. Both blushers have a matt finish. Kiss is a deep rose plum colour and Rumour is a pale beige with a touch of pink. Finally got the chance to grab some Lipsticks to try. I picked Welt, a deep magenta pink with a frost finish – I believe, from what I see but it says matt on the website. Will update accordingly with swatches once I have decided to keep it. And Wanton, a warm lilac rose colour with a matt finish.

Here comes the exciting part of the entire order. I got a total of 8 Powder Eyeshadows and 5 Cream Eyeshadows. I got a mixture of brights, neutrals and deep, dark shades to try. Also, they are in different finishes, most of them matt but I have included a couple of shimmering/glittering ones. Let’s start with the above, we have Synth – an iridescent pale pink in glitter finish, Lick – a hot coral pink in matt finish, Stalk – a rich teal green in matt finish, Drama – a deep slate grey in matt finish, Melodrama – a rich turquoise green in matt finish, Vanian – a soft gold cream in shimmer finish, Trollop – a warm peach in matt finish and Slink – a soft champagne in shimmer finish.

For the ones below, we have Angel – a denim blue-grey with satin finish, Amorous – a soft mauve grey with satin finish, Touch – a nude beige with satin finish, Command – a medium pink-brown with satin finish and Dual – a copper brown with satin finish.

I also got a Sheer Lipgloss in Rouse and two Intense Lipglosses in Fume and Petulant. Rouse is a cool candy pink which I believe will give off a rather healthy glow to most skin tones. I love the texture, shine and pigmentation of these Intense Lipglosses from my previous purchase so I am up for more daring colours, like – Fume, a deep rose-red and Petulant, a hot magenta pink. Along side the glosses, I picked up three Pure Pigments in Lust – a pale green shimmer, Conquer – a forest green shimmer and Marvel – a yellow gold shimmer. And three Nail Varnishes in Propaganda – a deep navy blue, Insanity – a vibrant orange and Brigitte – a hot pink which looks incredibly red in the bottle.

To finish this post, I got an Illuminator in Fondle – a lovely pink with gold shimmer, ideal for applying just above the cheek bones for an extra touch of luminously – whether day or night. A Medium Pencil in Cane – a pastel canary yellow and two Fat Pencils in Wilful – a copper gold shimmer and Fickle – a bronze shimmer.
