A simple list of my 5 all time favourites this month, consist of some products I bought recently and some I fell in love with all over again. I have been keeping my makeup very natural recently. The products featured above helped define and enhance my everyday makeup, making it less boring I suppose.
One thing I can’t do without when I have merely any makeup on – the false eyelashes. I love Shu Uemura false eyelashes but you got to be extra careful with them, they are extremely delicate because they are hand-made and some particular styles can be very difficult to wear because of the thickness and flexibility of the lash band. Not to mention all the fancy ones they carry, more for fashion shows, makeup artists or collectors. This pair of Shu Uemura False Eyelashes in Natural Volume 01 is amazing. It’s like wearing two pairs of lashes layering on top of one another and the lash band is relatively flexible and thin, easy to wear. It really does what its name suggests – adds instant volume to my lashes naturally.
Neat and well-defined brows help frame one’s face. I have been using Benefit Speed Brow for quite some time. It’s a tinted brow gel which helps keep my brows in shape all day long. I have very light brows with not much hair so I always fill them in with either pencil or shadows. To finish off my brows, I lightly brush the Benefit Speed Brow over, it makes my brows look healthier!!
My first Guerlain Ombre Eclat in L’Instant D’un Soupir is surely not my last. The texture is incredibly soft, velvety and creamy. The pigmentation is super rich. I am in love with this eyeshadow, I simply can’t leave home without it. I have done a look featuring this product here > and I have been exploring different ways of using this shade. One of my favourite ways is to smudge it and blend it together with my eyeliner. I guess it’s the easiest way to achieve soft smokey eyes for the day.
Next, I have the Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Supreme Shine Lipsticks in SS PK 340and SS BG 957 for you. Both applies smoothly and glides onto the lips effortlessly. It doesn’t bleed nor feather (not with these natural shades, I assume). Feels very comfortable and light wearing them. They do not provide full coverage, I would say it’s sheer but with enough pigmentation for a true colour definition. Doesn’t dry lips, keeps them well moisturizes. Last but not least, I would love to share this amazing loose powder with you. It’s the Cle de Peau Beaute Translucent Loose Powder. This exquisitely refined loose powder spreads delicately and evenly onto the skin for an unparalleled flawless finish. This loose powder is ultra-fine and it feels extremely light and weightless on the skin. Brightens my complexion instantly. The only down side of this amazing product is, it only comes in one shade, may not be suitable for darker skin tone beauties. It retails at S$180 and the refill costs S$127.
Thank you for reading and what are your favourite products this month?
