Look In Punky Blues

We have some big lashes and big bangs going on here. Had a hair cut yesterday and chopped off my long fringe, coloured my hair dark chocolate too. Am still trying to get used to the whole new fringe thing so please ignore my hand in the pictures above. My fringe kept covering my face – I feel a lot of hair, it’s kind of annoying. Ok, enough with the hair and let’s get started with this look.

For face: Prep with Make Up For Ever HD Primer and have decided to use Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV Foundation SPF 20 which I have abandon for a long time. Kept the face clean and fresh with the aid of some powder over the T-zone to take away the shine. I wanted a natural base, nothing too dewy nor matte.

For eyes: It’s all about layering and it’s really simple. The pinks and blues are not the usual colours I use very often. I wanted to create a set of soft smoky eyes with this palette. I started off by applying the pink all over the lid – up to the crease and lower lash line. The pink acts as a base for the blues. Then I applied light blue on top of the pink except the lower lash line. Blend. And lastly, I applied dark blue on my upper and lower lash line. Blend. Can you see the pink peeping through the blues? I lined my lower lash line with MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Prussian and finished off with some big, long lashes.

For cheeks & lips: I used Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Rumour to sculpt my cheeks and lightly dust Kiss just under my cheek bones – this will give my cheeks a subtle hue but not overpowering the eyes. Finish this look with Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss in #652, a super beautiful dusty rose colour and the shine is incredible too.

Hope you like this look. This week flew by, it’s Thursday already. YEAH!!

  1. zomg!! the lashes! makes your eyes look super big, and wider!
I like how you rock the blues but without looking like a ‘typical’ blue eyeshadow look.
the bangs look great on you, esp in the 2 row, right hand side pic. 🙂

  2. OMG, those lashes are massive, you sure they couldn’t keep your fringe up without using your hands? 🙂

You have blended the pink & blues? Looks lilac/purplish on the pic. May I suggest you blending them with Chanel Perlees ( the dark grey shade on the right, good reason to use your perlees )

    Thanks for the FOTD.

    • Hi David,
      Thank you =)
Lol, yes, I think those massive lashes can keep my fringe away for a bit!!
And yeap, I have blended a bit, looks purplish..
I can’t wait to use the Chanel Perlees, look coming right up!!
