4 Very Pretty Estee Lauder Pure Color Nail Lacquers

I was kind of lucky to stumble upon these lovely NEW Estee Lauder Pure Color Nail Lacquers when I was in KL last weekend. I didn’t expect to see them because they were not launched in Singapore yet (at that point of time). I swatched most of the colours and got the 4 I like most. This range consists of several really bright shades which I am thrilled to see – something I didn’t expect to see from the brand, read more about them here >

Just a quick recap, these new polishes claim to be rich and glossy with an intense, mirror-like high shine. They are fast-drying and long-wearing. Highly pigmented with 3 different effects, creme, pearl and shimmer. Chip resistant, won’t fade, dull or streak. Sounds to good to be true or find it too hard to believe? Believe it.

#16 Violet Diva
Swatches taken indoor with flash. 2 coats of polish, no base nor top coat.

Initially, I thought of skipping this colour totally because it’s not exactly my type of colour. But what is? And it’s too pretty, I just couldn’t leave it. This colour is extremely difficult to capture on camera. It’s a deep violet with a hint of blue in it, cream finish.

#12 Chocolate Crave
Swatches taken indoor with flash. 3 coats of polish, no base nor top coat.

I knew this colour was coming home with me when I saw the advertisements of this new range of polishes. I didn’t even have to swatch it. I am officially entering the crazy-for-chocolate phase – don’t know why but I seem to fall for all this chocolate recently. Well, this shade required 1 extra layer to pop. It’s a deep chocolate-brown with a cream finish.

#21 Pure Red
Swatches taken indoor with flash. 2 coats of polish, no base nor top coat.

By far my favourite of the lot. It’s a warm red with a cream finish and it’s so flattering. It brightens up my skin tone and I simply love it. I love it. This is probably the nicest bright red colour I have in my stash.

#69 Frozen Fantasy
Swatches taken indoor with flash. 2 coats of polish, no base nor top coat.

A very subtle pink beige with silver shimmer, pearl finish. Very understated, great for everyday and any day application.

Overall, I am very impressed with the texture and colour payoff of these new polishes. Although the consistency is rather light, not possible to deliver true colour with just one coat – at least not the colours I have but with 2 coats, generally, the colours appear full-on.

Frozen Fantasy is quite sheer as compared to the others, probably due to its pearl finish properties? Pure Red and Violet Diva are the most opaque anf vibrant ones. I have been wearing Pure Red for a couple of days now, no chipping and the colour is still so bright and brilliant, how amazing is that?

See anything you can’t live without?

  1. Hello. I just found your blog and I have to say it’s amazing.
I love Estee Lauder, it is an amazing and timeless brand I believe. I have none of their polishes, and among these I think Frozen Fantasy is the one for my style, though I am not sure about the finish, it looks kind of irregular on the photos. This happens to me all the time with polishes with that pearl-finish.

I am following you now via Google Friends Connect 🙂
    Have a great day!

    • Hi Ana,
Thank you for visiting this blog =)
If I remember correctly, Frozen Fantasy has a frost finish.
I am liking these nail polishes and I hope they come up with more colours!!

Btw, I don’t think I am on Google Friends Connect, it might not be me..
