This is the second time I am visiting Chatterbox at Meritus Mandarin Hotel since their renovation. The last time was in February 2010 with my sister. I still prefer their old design and location tho. Having food at Chatterbox brought back lots of childhood memories, my mummy used to bring me there quite often. Through time, the famous and award-winning chicken rice has evolved. It doesn’t taste as good anymore?

We took lots of pictures while waiting for the food to be served.

Then, it started pouring. The rain was too heavy to dash across to Takashimaya so we explored the Mandarin Gallery for a bit. A fair selection of fine boutiques and salons. The cafes in particular caught my attention, beautifully decorated and the ambient is just perfect for a late lunch or tea with friends. Will probably visit their cafes soon. The art and furniture shops are pretty impressive too, filled with funky items to spice up your home.

Took more photos while waiting for the rain to stop. The camera lens kind of went frosty due to the super cold air-condition at Mont Blanc – went to collect my pen from servicing.
