From My Beauty Picks This Spring 2011 I wrote 2 months ago, the list seems to get longer doesn’t it? With products I still haven’t gotten from the previous list, I am up for more. These lists contain some of the products I am potentially interested in getting or trying. I might not end up buying anything if they are not suitable for my skin or suits my taste. I am hoping to grab some of the items from Hong Kong next week since some of the brands are not available locally.
I almost forgot how brilliant Guerlain Météorites Perles was when I used it a couple of years back, I am going to get another bottle with my S$50 voucher. So, this is pretty much a confirmed purchase I suppose.
I have a weakness for Bobbi Brown foundations and concealers because I think their range of colours suit my skin tone very well. The foundations I have provide very natural coverage and they are light in texture. I would love to try the new Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Foundation SPF 25 and if it’s great for oily/combination skin, I will get it.
More lipsticks for 2011? Yes, perhaps just one more range from Lancome? Lancome L’Absolu Nu sound amazing, I might just give in for one or two.
One of the items I want to get from Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Collection For Summer 2011 is the Shadow Stick Duo in Pink Teal. You can refer to Temptalia’s review and swatches here >
Benefit Cha Cha Tint, I want. See how this mango lip and cheek stain looks like at Karen’s post here >
Next, I am hoping to get a few more bottles of Deborah Lippman Nail Polishes from Hong Kong because apparently they are available at Lane Crawford and several other shopping malls. And Giorgio Armani came up with more new colours for their Eyes To Kill Intense Eyeshadows which debut from one of their collections last year. I have one in 16, a metallic silver/black and I can’t to see the many different colours they have this time round.
Anyway, NARS The Eyeshadows in Cap Ferrat caught my attention with its oceanic hues too. It also caught my attention because it’s different from previous trios NARS launches. Each of the colours in this palette is individually separately and I like that.
Apart from the above, there are several other brands I would like to try out.
That’s all for now, thank you for reading.
Joey, you may want to sample Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Foundation first, it may be too heavy for combination skin or in Tropical country, anyway BB is rather generous in sampling, so try wear it for a day or two first before you make your purchase.
Armani’s Intense Eyes 2 Kill seems intriguing, you never know what the end colour is like unless you blend & swatch them.
Who’s the lipstick queen? Do you really need another lipstick? Okay, since Lancome L’absolu Nu is gorgeous, you can have more.
Thank you David for the tips about the BB Foundation =)

Hi Stephanie,
I am not sure how much the polishes are as I have not checked them out before personally.
can you recommend me a foundation to try?
I have oily skin, pefers matte finishes.
Hi Tess,
Have you tried Chanel Mat Lumiere or Estee Lauder Double Wear Light?
I think they are pretty good in terms of oil control =)
Try getting samples at the counter.
Hey Joey,
I just discovered your blog recently and love your beauty picks!
I’m wondering if you know the comparisons between Guerlain Météorites Perles’s and RMK’s primer? As i’m going HK and wondering which will be a better buy. Thanks!!!
Hihi,
Thank you for popping by and commenting =)
The texture between the two are very different, RMK’s is creamy and Guerlain’s is gel-like.
I feel that Guerlain’s is better for oil-control.
Guerlain’s has micro-shimmer in it which gives the skin a natural glow whereas RMK’s just a creamy base.
Hope this helps =)
