Craving for some golds, browns, bronze and/or copper this Summer? Today, I have a few from my stash to share. I have used one of the latest addition, Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Intense Eyeshadow in Gold Blitz as a guide for this post.
Went through the drawers and picked out some similar shades, shades that fall under the same colour family or shades that are very pretty in general.
Amongst the eight shades I pulled out, Urban Decay Powder Eyeshadow in Smog and Half Baked (both shades from the Naked Palette) seem to be the closest to Gold Blitz. I have nothing from my collection that matches Gold Blitz exactly – which I am happy about, no one likes too many identical shades in their stash, right?
In terms of texture, nothing came close to Gold Blitz. Powder eyeshadows are too powdery and eyeliners are too creamy. This probably explains why the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Intense Eyeshadows are such a big hit. It’s a cross-breed between a powder and cream. And that may also be the reason why they are so pigmented. The colour payoff of Gold Blitz can easily win any eyeliners. In this case, it’s equally as pigmented as Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Lucky and MAC Greasepaint Stick in Below Ground.
Which would you pick?
