My 5 All Time Favourites For May 2011

Hello everyone, its end of May and it’s time for me to share my 5 all time favourites with you. I am really excited about these products because I enjoy using them so much, I can’t wait to tell. Most of them are not new in the market which made them even more interesting. I kind of discovered them by accident.

Firstly, I have Bliss Lemon + Sage Body Butter which I bought during Christmas last year. It came in a set, together with its shower gel. I finished the shower gel but didn’t open the body butter until a while ago. The word “butter” scared me off, I think. This product is Bliss’ #1 body cream for over a decade. It’s formula moisturizes the skin without being greasy. I have always thought it would be so oily and sticky but it’s totally not. It contains coconut oil to soften the skin, sodium hyaluronate to lock in moisture and vitamin E to deeply nourish the skin. I love everything about this body cream. Leaves my skin feeling well moisturized and smelling great.

DIORSKIN Nude Glow Healthy Glow Summer Powder in First Light is part of Dior Electric Tropics Collection for Summer 2011 – released beginning of May. Instead of the two bronzers, we get First Light in Asia which is a highlighting powder. Initially, I was a little disappointed because I had my eyes on Aurora. I picked up First Light because it was the only face powder available and who can say no to the beautiful inter-woven design? I surely can’t. I was a little reluctant to use it, in a “should I use or should I keep” stage. But as soon as I used it, I love it. I love how finely milled the powders are and the subtle glow it creates on my skin. Now, I am in a “should I get an extra piece to keep?” stage.

Sophia was really nice to pass me a bottle of Clarins Teint Multi Régénérant Extra Firming Foundation SPF 15 in 104 Cream a couple of weeks back. The first thing I realised is – the scent. I can’t stop telling everyone that this foundation is probably one of the best smelling one I have ever used. I know fragrant is subjective to individuals but I am definitely loving it. I can smell the foundation on my face every time I use it. Other than the scent, I am liking the slightly dewy finish and medium coverage it provides.

My manicurist gave me a tube of OPI Avoplex Cuticle Oil To Go because she says I have very dry cuticle which I agree too. I wash the dishes all the time and the detergent probably caused a lot of damage to my cuticles. I hate putting cuticle oil because I don’t like my fingers oily and it gets transferred onto things I touch – mobile phone, bags and clothes. The only time I put cuticle oil on is when I get my nails done at the salon. The OPI Avoplex Cuticle Oil To Go is different, it smells great, thanks to the grape seed oil and it’s less oily – almost gel-like consistency. It’s handy and comes with a brush applicator. I apply before I go to bed every night and my cuticles are not as dry but of course, it’s not a miracle worker.

Lastly, I have Dolly Wink False Eyelashes in No.4 Feminine Style in the list. I love these lashes and I have received so many compliments wearing them. They look very natural (in a way) and feels extremely light on the lids, not heavy at all. Feminine Style is one of those half lashes with an invisible lash band. I like half lashes because it saves all the cutting and measuring. Easy to apply and opens up my eyes instantly. If you wear false eyelashes, you got to try them, they are brilliant.

What are your favourites this month, share them with me below!!
