TRANQUILITY AND PRIVACY REDEFINED
On the private island of Pangkor Laut, this unique resort nestles comfortably into its jungle island habitat, offering beautifully appointed accommodations. Their signature Sea Villas stand elegantly on stilts above ocean and their Garden and Hill Villas are just a few steps away from the nature’s abundance.
From the map below, you can view the types of accommodations available and where they are situated. The Estates are not listed in the map but you may want to check them out if you are going with a big family. Sounds promising to me, with private vehicle, a driver and a personal butler.
The Sea Villas are currently undergoing some renovations, unavailable for booking at the time we looked into this trip.
So, let me introduce you to the one and only Pavarotti Suite on this island. Named after the world’s renowned tenor who fell in love with Pangkor Laut. The Pavarotti Suite is an elegant two bedroom suite set on the hill-top of in the rainforest. It has a spacious and luxurious lounge area, an extensive balcony with breathtaking views of the sea and tropical rainforest and an enormous open-roof bathroom.
Lots of Pavarotti’s pictures framed along the corridor. It feels as if we are in his house.
Gorgeous and spacious bedroom with a massive bath tub. Speaking of elegant and luxurious?
The beautiful, long pathway leading to the suite along with the balcony.
I really like how the buildings blend in with nature. Shadows created by the greenery and the iron cast gates.
Next, I have the Hill Villa for you.
After viewing the Pavarotti Suite, the Hill Villa is only a tiny room but stunning enough for Mak and I.
We have a very good view to the ocean, jetty and rest of the development from our balcony.
Staying on a island can be quite boring especially during the night where nothing much happens. Took some photos while burning the calming incense cone.
The accommodations are not super new but they are very well maintained. I am very impressed with the level of cleanliness despite being next to (or rather) the forest. During the turndown service, we were given incense cone to burn, bottle of water is placed on the bedside table along with a glass and they switched on the electronic mosquito repeller for us.
It was a very comfortable experience staying at the Hill Villa.
