Look In Cherry Cherie & Fuchsia

Happy mid-week everyone. Let’s have something slightly more dramatic this week. This may not be everyone’s cup of tea and probably not an everyday look for most of us. But I love this look and it’s based on one of my favourite YouTube Gurus – Lisa Eldridge. This is a look she did on Nicole Richie on the cover UK InStyle almost a year ago. You can view her tutorial here >

Although this look is based on her tutorial, it turned out really different. We have totally different facial features, application styles and products – tho I tried to find similar ones or colours that matches in my stash. I had really dry lips while doing this look – hope you don’t mind. I had a lot of fun attempting this look so let’s get started.

For face: I used Make Up For Ever HD Primer in #2 to take away the redness on my face. I needed a very sheer base as in the video so I have chosen Givenchy Photo’Perfexion Light which is like a veil with just enough coverage to even up my skin tone. Set it with powder and I used Diorskin Nude Glow in First Light to highlight my face – forehead, cheek bones and chin.

For eyes: Start off with MAC Paint Pot in Artifact all over the lids then I gently pat on Lancome Ombre Magnetique in Cherry Cherie and darken the outer corners of my eyes with MAC Matte Eyeshadow in Private Viewing – you can use a darker shade to make this look even more dramatic. Use a black eyeliner to rim the eyes and to finish, pat on some hot pink eyeshadow on the inner corners of the lids – here, I am using MAC Pigment in Fuchsia. I added some Shu Uemura False Eyelashes in Partial Soft Cross on the outer corners to left up my eyes.

For cheeks & lips: I used Benefit Hoola to sculpt and contour the cheek bones and I cheated a little, Lisa didn’t use any blusher in her video but I look too pale without one so I added a hint of Benefit Dallas. I have the perfect nude lipstick but my lips were too dry for them so I applied a thin layer of gloss on top.

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful week ahead.
