Lastly, I have the Regard Signé de Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow in Topkapi from the pre-fall Chanel Byzance Makeup Collection. It contains a whopping 4g of product and it’s made in Italy as compared to the usual Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow – 1.7g of product, made in France. Topkapi retails at S$95.
There is a classic Chanel logo embossed on each of the eyeshadows and this palette comes with black applicators – I believe we get the white ones in Asian. The embossed Chanel logos are so glamorous, makes my heart ache a little to use but I can’t just leave this stunning palette aside without swatching and creating a look with it, right?
The colours look rather metallic in the pan which scared me a little but they are not overly metallic on my skin which I am very glad about.
Swatches above taken indoor without flash and below taken indoor with flash.
The Regard Signé de Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow in Topkapi consists off a shimmery brown, shimmery taupe, glittery gold and an almost matte deep brown. All the colours swatch beautifully – the texture is amazing, buttery smooth, soft and the colour payoff is amazing.
I have no palettes that is similar to Topkapi – how is that possible? I kept asking myself but I really can’t find anything close even with other brands. I will be comparing Topkapi with Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow in Kaska Beige and Reflets d’Ombre.

All swatches taken indoor with flash. No primer and all swatched dry.
Usually, I find that the Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadows have rather decent colour payoff but not in this case, swatched next to the highly pigmented Topkapi.
I would say that the Regard Signé de Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow in Topkapi is a neutral palette with a twist – referring to the mind-blowing gold. You can use this quad for a natural day look or bring it up a notch by adding the gold for the night. It’s an amazing combination with amazing quality.
If you love Chanel makeup, you would definitely appreciate this palette like no others.
Omg!! It’s beautiful!! Wonder if they are stll around??? But I doubt so:(
Hi Lin,
Ops, I am not sure either ~~
It looks very similar to the colors in the naked palette… Smog, Sidecar, half-baked(a little darker than the chanel one though), dark horse.. Do you have that palette to do a comparison?
Hi Judy,
I did a swatch last night, lighting wasn’t too good to tell.
Similar but different, shall see when I swatch tomorrow morning =)
Phwoar gorgeous colours! I especially like the gold. Oh dear. Temptation lane! 😛
The gold is “pow wow” babe..
I am drafting a post to compare Topkapi with other single eyeshadows I have.
But, Chanel is still Chanel after all ~~
so prettyyyyyyyyyy
Yessss Sarah, it’s amazing!!
Nice palette but a bit too metallic for my liking, I am waiting for the Prelude quad instead.
I thought so too but when I swatched it, it’s not that metallic..
Will do a look soon =)
Omg. I am being torn by doubts whether to get it or not and every time I google for Topkapi I come across another exciting review with great swatches … Thank you for comparing the palettes, great post.
xoxo Lina
