Hi everyone, here are my favourites for the month of June 2011.
Firstly, I have the INGLOT Freedom System Eyeshadows. They are stunning in terms of quality and colour payoff. If you haven’t had the chance to check them out, I highly recommend you to do so as they have recently opened up a boutique in KL – at least nearer to us now and soon, they will be coming to Singapore. What I love about these shadows is, of course the pigmentation, the variety of colours and finishes to choose from and concept of personalization. Not to mention they are priced at an affordable rate. A little goes a long way for these shadows and they blend perfectly well. My current go-to colours include Nº 11, Nº 330, Nº 368, Nº 402 and Nº 409. Refer to swatches here >
Dior Vernis in 638 Aloha is one of the colours I kept wearing this month. The bright pop of orange seems to go well with most outfits and brighten up my fingers. I love the shine and jelly-like finish this nail varnish has. Refer to swatches here >
Have been exploring new brands lately and one of the new products I discovered that works well for me is the Smashbox Artificial Luminizing Powder. It’s a very finely milled loose powder that comes with a sponge applicator. I would say it’s a shimmery champagne that melts and blends into the skin’s own colour – for my skin tone at least. It can be used to highlight any parts of the face. I usually apply to the inner corners of my eyes, cheek bones, a little on the forehead (between the brows), brow bones and a tidy amount on the cupid’s bow.
Looks like looking illuminated is my thing this month.
Next, I have the Chanel Éclat Lumiére Highlighter Face Pen which can be doubled up as an undereye concealer for those who has just a little to conceal. On good days, I don’t use an undereye concealer, I just use this. It illuminates and hides my dark circles and eye bags. I am loving this product.
Lastly, the Sephora I.T. Brushes. I bought a few the other day and I am impressed with their quality. Picture above consists of all the brushes I have from the range at the moment. They are super soft and gentle to the skin. I am loving #111 – Natural Foundation, #235 – Cream Shadow and #236 – Smudge Shadow in particular. I use #111 as a blush brush some times and it works really well. #235 can be used as an undereye concealer brush too.
