Hello everyone, as promised I have allocated a little time this morning for a swatch fest comparing Regard Signé de Chanel in Topkapi with Urban Decay NAKED Palette, Lunasol Ocean Scene Eyes in Shelly Ocean and other singles I have in my stash.

But please note that the purpose of this post isn’t to find a dupe but to compare, appreciate and view similar shades put together. I pulled out shades based on a similar texture, undertone, colour and/or finish so they may not look identical. Sit back, relax and enjoy all the following swatches – feel free to suggest other shades which you think will fit in, I have tried my best in each set.

From left to right: shimmery brown from Regard Signé de Chanel in Topkapi, Guerlain Ombre Éclat in 187 L’instant D’un Soupir, Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eyeshadow in 15 Black Plum, Urban Decay Smog from NAKED Palette, Urban Decay Sidecar from NAKED Palette, MAC Veluxe Pearl Eyeshadow in Twinks and Shu Uemura Pressed Eyeshadow in P Gold 350.

Guerlain Ombre Éclat in 187 L’instant D’un Soupir appears to be the closest as compared to the rest but darker and warmer.

For this set, I would say Urban Decay Sidecar from NAKED Palette comes close but lack of the taupe.

The gold from Regard Signé de Chanel in Topkapi seems to be rather unique compared to rest of the golds I have. I couldn’t find anything that came close although I thought Dior Ultra-Smooth High Impact Eyeshadow in 616 Golden Spotlight and Shu Uemura Pressed Eyeshadow in G Gold would.

The deep brown from Regard Signé de Chanel in Topkapi has an almost undetectable purple undertone to it in my opinion. The slight purple undertone becomes more obvious when swatched next to deeper, warmer browns like the one in Lunasol Ocean Scene Eyes in Shelly Ocean.

All the 4 shades from Regard Signé de Chanel in Topkapi shares the same velvety, soft, smooth and buttery texture which I feel are similar to the Urban Decay NAKED Palette. In terms of colour payoff, I think it’s equivalent to the Urban Decay NAKED Palette if not better. Although the gold from Regard Signé de Chanel in Topkapi may seem glittery, it’s not gritty at all.

I hope this post will give those who are unsure about getting the Regard Signé de Chanel in Topkapi a clearer picture of the colours and finishes.
