Good afternoon everyone, I am back this week with my thoughts about the Sulwhasoo Overnight Vitalizing Treatment – which is a rather short one.
The Overnight Vitalizing Treatment retails at HKD350 = S$58 for 120ml of product. It’s an overnight Korean herbal medicinal treatment to restore radiant look in the morning by furnishing the skin with moisture and nutrition. If you compare the smell of the Skin Clarifying Mask (reviewed here) and this, the Skin Clarifying Mask actually bares a stronger scent.
The texture is a very thin and lightweight cream that spreads over the face smoothly and evenly – almost effortlessly. I apply it at the end of my night skincare routine, wait for it to dry which takes about 5 minutes or less and time to bed. I needed only a very tiny amount for the entire face – a little goes a long way here.
Initially, I did what the BA told me – to use it every two days, up to 3 times per week. I then realised little spots started popping out. I wasn’t too sure if it’s the mask that’s causing the break out (you know, as ladies, it could be due to many other factors). So, I stopped using for a while which explains why it took me longer to write this post.
After the spots have cleared up, I decided I should give this mask a second try. This time, I paced out the frequency to twice a month and I am very happy with the result. I wake up the next morning with skin feeling replenished and supple. I will slowly increase the frequency to once a week and see how my skin adapts to the formula – will post an update if necessary.
Overall, I feel that it’s a good mask to have but it didn’t quite do the trick for me. There are probably better masks that will suit my skin better.
Thank you for reading.
