Look In French Quarter & Orange

Recently, I have been crazy over burnt orange eyeshadows paired with antique golds and browns. I am so glad I have found the perfect orange for me. Here is a look I did using some of the Inglot products I bought. If you have missed the Inglot post filled with swatches, click here and for a tour of Inglot KL, click here.

I think this application method is suitable for anyone who wants to explore bright colours. By blending a more neutral shade together with the bright – can be pink, red, yellow or orange, it will tone down the brightness, leaving just a pop of colour.

For face: I kept the face pretty simple using Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector as a base and Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV Foundation SPF 20 to create a luminous finish. Before I set the foundation with the Giorgio Armani Micro-Fil Loose Powder, I used a little Chanel Éclat Lumiére Highlighter Face Pen under the eyes, forehead, sides of the nose and chin to illuminate and highlight. I am really liking the effect of the Chanel highlighting pen, it helps take away my eye bags miraculously.

For eyes: Start off by applying MAC Greasepaint Stick in French Quarter all over the lower lid then I applied Inglot Matte Eyeshadow in #383 just above French Quarter, up to the crease. Blend both colours together and intensify the orange if needed. Follow by applying Inglot Pearl Eyeshadow in #409 in between French Quarter and the orange. Blend. I applied Illamasqua Fat Pencil in Fickle to the inner corners of the eyes and a touch of MAC Pigment in Old Gold over it – this step is totally optional or you can use any other colours you think suit the look.

I rimmed the entire eyes with Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Espresso and smudge the edges with NARS Single Eyeshadow in Bali. Finish the eyes with some false eyelashes.

For cheeks & lips: I used Inglot Pressed Powder #19 to highlight the cheek bones and applied Inglot Blush #29 along the cheek bones. Finished this look with coral pink lips, here I am using Giorgio Armani Rouge d’Armani in 102 with a layer of NARS Lip Lacquer in Chelsea Girls on top.

    • Hi Espenine,
My shade for Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk UV Foundation is 4.5
You can also find my other foundation shades here >
I am hoping to update the list together with more information soon.

  1. Joey, is Chanel Eclat Lumiere that great at banishing shadows & bags? Does it creases? I hate highlighter that creases & ends up emphasising fine lines.

  2. Looking awesome, Joey 🙂

You reminded me of my lonely French Quarter Greasepaint stick in my drawer that I took it out this morning and used it.
