Bloom brightly with a stylish fusion of the floral and the fashionable in the summer color collection that evoke the cool side of the hottest season. Fashion Flower girls are free to be, each one with cultivated connection to the green house and the fashion house. Unfolding and flourishing these perennial prima donna embrace the growing tend of cheeks and eyes lightly dusted with daisy debossed beauty powder and shadows.

MAC Cosmetics

The day after MAC launched Semi-Precious, Fashion Flower was released. This collection consists of 4 lipsticks, 3 lipgelées, 6 eyeshadows, 2 beauty powder and more. I picked up two items which I think are pretty and good to have.

Beauty Powder in Light Sunshine, retails at S$46 each.

Light Sunshine is described as a pastel neutral pink with soft gold and pink sparkles. It has a lot more sheen and slightly more pigmented as compared to Alpha Girl. Alpha Girl blends into my skin tone too well, making it almost invisible. I can see myself using Light Sunshine as a highlighter although it can also be used as an overall face powder – got to be really light handed.

I find the powder a tad drier than usual, yet to find out how it wears.

Lip Gelée in Now In Season, retails at S$28 each.

My first Lip Gelée. Now In Season consists the most sparkles as compared to Fashion Flower and Budding Beauty. Both Fashion Flower and Budding Beauty would look absolutely gorgeous when worn alone. I would use Now In Season over a lipstick – it may look too overwhelming on its own. Now In Season has multicoloured shimmer running through a yellow gold base. The sparkles are incredibly beautiful when the light hits.

However, I find it a little too sticky but still workable.

Swatches above taken indoor without flash and with flash below.

How are you liking this collection? And did you get anything from MAC recently?
