Good evening everyone. Have been rather busy and feeling a little ill for the past couple of days – thus the lack of blog posts. Feeling a little better today and I shall share my 5 favourite items for the month of July with you.
Let’s start off with the Regard Signé de Chanel in Topkapi – superb colour payoff, brilliant quality and gorgeous hues . There is nothing negative about this palette except the fact that it’s a limited edition palette selling at S$95. I have been using it religiously ever since I received it, most of the time, I only use 2 of them shades. A more detailed review and swatches of this palette can be found here and if you are wondering how it compares with other individual shades, you can refer to this post here. I have also done a look featuring Topkapi here.
Second on the list is the Shu Uemura Glow On Blusher in P Medium Coral 366. I like this blush because of the ultra-fine texture and softness of the colour. You can find more pictures, swatches and my thoughts in this post here.
Sephora Instant Moisture Mask (reviewed here) has quickly became one of my must-haves for my masking routine every week. It’s fun, fast and easy.
I always think red nail polishes are sophisticated and glamorous. I have been wearing many reds recently and one of my favourites has got to be Estée Lauder Pure Colour Nail Lacquer in 21 Pure Red. Many have asked about this nail colour, I am sorry, it’s not True Red, it’s Pure Red. And the colour itself pretty much described it – it’s pure red. This colour looks really clean on the nails, matches 90% of the outfits I wear and it lasts for a good 5 days with minimal tip wear. View more photos and swatches of Pure Red together with 3 others here.
Not too long ago, I bought a Guerlain Rouge Automatique in 165 Champs-Elysees during a makeover together with the Guerlain Terra Inca Sublime Radiant Powder (refer to shopping post here). This is the only colour I have from the new range of lipstick from Guerlain but I am liking it a lot. The colour is gorgeous and I think the formula works great on dry lips like mine. The texture is soft and creamy, the colour is opaque and the finish is slightly dewy – perfect. I also did a look featuring this lipstick here. It brightens up my skin tone and conceal the dryness of my lips, feels light and refreshing.
