Clé de Peau Beauté Cream Eye Color in #2 Night Brown is part of their Fall Makeup Collection this year. It’s a rather small collection as compared to other brands but it’s the quality, not quantity that counts, right? The Cream Eye Color contains 2.8g of product, made in Japan and retails at S$65 each. Comes in a small, square compact with Clé de Peau Beauté signature blue casing and gold logo engraved in the front.
You may be thinking, another cream eyeshadow? I am afraid so, I guess it’s the current trend that almost every cosmetic company is coming up with their own version of cream eyeshadows. Too many to try? Maybe. While most cream eyeshadows are meant to be used as a base, under powder eyeshadows or like the Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color (reviewed here) which can be used on its own – the Clé de Peau Beauté Cream Eye Color is meant to be used over powder eyeshadows. Unlike most cream eyeshadows which comes in a pot, these come in a compact shaped like a diamond with their logo stamped in the middle.
How can I resist this beauty?
I apologize that there isn’t a swatch included in this post as I would like to admire this beauty for a little longer. All pictures above taken without flash, under natural sunlight – can you see the micro-shimmers glistening? Below is a picture taken under natural light without the sunlight hitting directly onto the pan.
Give me some time to try this product. I am curious to find out how it works on top of powder eyeshadows. I swatched it at the counter on its own, its smooth, creamy and silky – similar texture to the Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color. I also tried layering it on top of a powder eyeshadow, they blend together seamlessly and this shade (Night Brown) created a smoky effect when paired over a lighter base.
Remember to pop by a Clé de Peau Beauté counter to check out this product, I think its worth a look especially if you are a fan of taupe.
Thank you for reading.
oh wow, they look like gemstones! i cant wait to read about your experience with them 🙂

I was eyeing this thing while I was at the CDP counter at tangs just now! Lol but didn’t swatch it, I thought it is a powder eyeshadow. And the promo image the model’s eye makeup is so gorgeous!

LOL NOOOOOOO thanks. i will live my CDP memories, thru ur blog! 🙂
LOL..
I have been thinking of getting another lipstick!!
They look so pretty, omg. If I were you, I’d probably never use them and solely admire them from the pan. haha, but do they get ‘disfigured’ easily after swatching?
Hi Sara,
I still haven’t touched it yet but I will soon!!
Waiting for the moment.
From the tester, it doesn’t seem to “disfigure” easily because the cream is quite “firm” but I will try to avoid the logo.
