Chanel Le Vernis in 525 Quartz was released as part of the three nail polishes in the Illusion D’Ombre Makeup Collection for Fall. Each of these nail polishes contains 13ml of product, made in France and retails at S$36.
525 Quartz is the only permanent shade in this collection and I would describe it as a silvery bronze grey with multi-coloured shimmer which disappears after application of the second coat. Somehow, I feel that this shade is more attractive and interesting when it’s in the bottle, especially when the light reflects the shimmer. When applied, it looses its complexity.
The texture is not as smooth as I would like it to be and it doesn’t quite apply evenly either. This shade also leans a little on the sheer side. 525 Quartz is a wearable shade for work, its subtle enough but not boring. However, in terms of quality and the price, I think this shade is not a must-have unless you are a Chanel fan or a nail polish collector.
Did you pick up a bottle of 525 Quartz? How are you liking it?
