Makeup Over Tea & Scones

I don’t know about you but I have always liked tea and scones. Having tea at TWG with some makeup talks was a bonus. I had the chance to play with one of Clé de Peau’s newest foundation recently and I am excited to share. But before I go into the details and review of the product, I would love to show you how tasty TWG scones are.

I had a glass of cold English Earl Grey tea to go along with the scones. The scones come with cream and jelly – they aren’t too soft nor too hard, very tasty and delicate.

While having tea, I was introduced to some of Clé de Peau’s best-selling products, namely, their primers, foundations, concealer and lipsticks. If you know me, you will know that I am obsessed with base products. I love trying out new primers and foundations because I believe that good bases make the difference. I am constantly exploring the various combinations to achieving an even, flawless and radiant complexion.

Last year, I purchased my first Clé de Peau Extra Silky Lipstick (original post here) and that made me realised the fineness of what luxury makeup is all about. Following that, I purchased their Cream Foundation after my facial. What impresses me about this foundation is, it is able to conceal the redness and spots I had after a deadly facial and it looks natural. And knowing me, I picked up their Translucent Loose Powder to go along with the foundation on another occasion. That’s not it, beginning of the year, I invested in another foundation, the Refining Fluid Foundation which is a whole different story. I also picked up the Concealer many have fallen in love with.

By the look of it, I have all my basic needs from the brand.

So, when the new Silky Cream Foundation debut not too long ago, I was naturally drawn to it. Wondering if it’s going to be as magical as the other two I have. I do apologize about not mentioning these products and not having the time to review them yet. But I guess, the time has come – I will provide my thoughts about each of the 3 foundations and compare them – hopefully, this will help you decide on which to purchase should you want to in the future.

Please allow me some time to compile these entires for you, thank you so much for your patience. I admit, I own you all lots of reviews =(

While waiting for my reviews, you can take a trip down to Reika from Front Row Beauty to see why the new Silky Cream Foundation is her Holy Grail foundation here. And while you are at it, head down to The Beauty Look Book to see what Sabrina thinks about the Concealer here.

If you are interested, I have also updated My Foundation Shades here.

Thank you for reading.

  1. Thank you so much for the link Joey! I am just as obsessed with base products as you are and CdP is my number one choice. I’ve been doing a lot of research on their other foundations lately and the reviews are quite mixed. So I really look forward to your thoughts!
btw I love CdP’s translucent loose powder!
