A sparkling gold with a pop of cerise for Chanel, well carried through in their Les Scintillances de Chanel Makeup Collection For Holiday 2011. Let’s take a look at what products have been included in this collection.

Les Scintillances de Chanel Makeup Collection For Holiday 2011 consists of the following products;-

Initially, when I first saw this collection, I was a little disappointed – it looks a little boring for Christmas doesn’t it? But I tell you, there are hidden gems in this collection and it’s worth checking out. The sparkles of some of these products are incredible and you would have to make a trip down to swatch them personally in order to appreciate.

Les Scintillances de Chanel Makeup Collection For Holiday 2011 is exclusively available now at ION and Marina Bay Sands. The collection will release at all other Chanel counters a week or two later.

I would recommend checking out Lumiére Sculptée de Chanel Highlighting Powder – the subtle golden sparkles are extremely breathtaking, Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow in 417 Beige Lamé – it may look like any other ordinary beige brown but in reality, the blue, pink and green micro-shimmers are glamorous and Lévres Scintillantes Glossimer in 297 Sweet Beige – possibly one of the more opaque lipglosses, extremely wearable.

If you would like some sparkles on your body, Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder in 47 Féérie is perfect for you.

Thank you for reading.

  1. I wanted to get something from this collection but fell for the Perfection Lumiere foundation instead. I felt the highlighter was too sparkly for me. I’m cursed with oily skin and some visible pores so the last thing I want to do is add sparkles 😉 Oh, I did cave and get an eyeshadow quad – the Kaska Beige one. I usually end up with the European packaging and was curious to see how different it is compared to the US packaging.

Would love to know what you think of Perfection Lumiere…I was bowled over by the fact that Chanel actually had my shade…and the wonderful MUA (this petite Japanese lady) was just so accommodating, I couldn’t _not_ buy it 🙂

    • Kaska Beige is my all time favourite, so classy and timeless =)
I would love to hear what you think about the US and European vesions of Chanel quads..
      I am as qurious myself!!

      • Yay, glad to hear you like Kaska Beige. I wanted to get a classic colour for the US quad, though I’m a big fan of Enigma and was quite tempted to get another Enigma but felt a bit silly buying the same colours in different packaging.

I would do a comparison but I’m afraid I don’t think it’s a fair comparison if I don’t own Kaska Beige in the European packaging right? 🙂 Darn, should have bought Enigma instead. Hehehe.

          • Yes, it feels silly because let’s face it – it’s impossible to “empty” a quad…at most one colour will be used more than the other three but.. it won’t get empty 🙂 Let’s see, if I’m in a spendy mood one of these days at duty free, I might cave though. I do so love Enigma. I wear it for days when I want to cheer myself up. I use Tentations Cuivree for special occasions (job interview/Christmas party, etc).
