This Fall, NARS also released a limited edition Trio Eyeshadow in Delphes and NARS described each of the colours, from left to right, as a sparkling sheer peach, matte dove grey and frosted sage. I am very happy that NARS have kept layout of the interior same – separated pans instead of their initial trios.
Karen from Makeup & Beauty Blog did a look with Delphes here, she paired this trio with Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Train Bleu – a gorgeous deep aubergine. Makes me want to get it too, I will check it out in person soon.
Swatches below swatched without any primer, on dry skin with fingers.
My first impression of Delphes was rather disappointing due to the lack of colour payoff but as I explored this palette, I have grown to accept its flaw and made it work for me. I am starting to really like it now. This palette consists of a sheer glittery shade, a matte and a shimmery shade. I think it’s a very interesting combination and it will work well on many skin tones if worn correctly. It’s a palette that you won’t be worry about over-doing your eye makeup with because the colours are muted and down-to-earth.
However, I strongly recommend using a primer under these eyeshadows to make the colours pop and the primer will also help to hold the glitters better.
Did you pick up NARS Trio Eyeshadow in Delphes as well? How are you liking it? I will be doing a look or 2 looks featuring this palette in the near future – waiting for David.
