Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 4.5 Natural Sand
5ml, made in France
Product Description
Giorgio Armani claims that it’s so weightless, it redefines foundation. The foundation is an oil-free fluid with exclusive Micro-fil technology and its hydrating fluid glides on seamlessly with a silky texture. The coverage is buildable and it’s for all skin types. Available in 19 shades, range from very fair to dark.
The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is InStyle’s “Best Liquid Foundation” of 2010, Award Winner of the 9th Year in a row and ELLE’s “Hall of Fame”2010, Award Winner.
My Thoughts
This foundation is ultra light-weight and provides sheer coverage with a natural finish. It evens up my skin tone, conceals the redness I have around my cheeks and adds just the right amount of radiance to my complexion. And it’s very easy to blend. If more coverage is needed, simply layer on the foundation – it doesn’t turn cakey. Or you can set it with a loose powder that has some form of coverage.
Almost my Holy Grail foundation, almost.
If only it works better at concealing the pores around my nose, it would have been one of my must-have foundations. I use Giorgio Armani Micro-Fil™ Loose Powder to set and together, it results to an ultra-luminous finish. I have done a look using this foundation here and here. The size of this sample can last for approximately 6-8 applications depending on usage.
As for the lasting power and oil control of this foundation, I would probably give them a 3 out of 5 and this rating has a lot to do with the humid weather in Singapore. My face starts to look shinny in about 4 hours’ time which is normal.

Will I Purchase Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 4.5 Natural Sand in full size?
Yes, when I need another foundation. This foundation is way better than Lasting Silk UV Foundation SPF 20 on me.

Thank you for reading.
This is a fantastic foundation! I have it in 5.5 – which is probably just a bit too dark for me now.
I was so tempted to get it when I was in Perth but there’s the new Desginer Fit and Chanel Perfection Lumiere to choose..
No doubt, I chose Chanel’s =)
Hi, this is my first time to your blog so I will be poking around trying to catch up. But I wanted to ask if you have tried Guerlain’s Lingerie de Peau and how you thought it compared if you did. Personally it’s one of my favorites, but one has to keep their eyes open for new wonderful products.
Hi D,
Welcome!!
I have a sample of Guerlain Lingerie de Peau but I have not tried it yet.
I shall compare them when I finally get to trying it =)
Yes, one can never stop searching for new, wonderful products and I love doing so!!
