Lancôme is thrilled to announce its support of the Golden Hat Foundation, a non-profit created by beloved Ambassadress Kate Winslet to raise funds to better the lives of children living with autism. To support her inspiring philanthropic endeavor, Lancôme has worked with her to create a stunning holiday collection that brings to life the spirit and message of the charity.
The Lancôme Golden Hat Illuminating Smooth Powder is an original interpretation of the Golden Hat – symbol of her non-profit and her personal signature dresses are reflected in the limited edition black packaging in a glamorous gold script.
Retails at S$70 for 11g of product, made in Italy.
According to Lancôme, the Golden Hat Illuminating Smooth Powder is an all-over powder that provides a blooming glow to the face. The light sparkling pink shade creates a soft and delicate glow and the golden shade enhances the complexion.
The silver sparkles you see in the above pictures is just a thin layer of over-spray which will be gone after 2-3 uses.
When swatched separately, the pink shade is quite pale and the gold is quite pronounce. But when swirled together, you get a great balance – giving you the perfect sheen for a healthy glow, very natural looking.
I love the Golden Hat design, it looks ultra modern and sophisticated with the black casing. I adore the silver sparkles, when the sun hits the pan – it glistens like diamonds. I also enjoyed the first couple of times I used it with the silver sparkles still in place – for a more dramatic dose.
When the silver sparkle over-spray gets worn off, I must say the palette looks relatively boring (take a look at the testers next time you pass by a Lancôme counter). But having said that, the product itself is still gorgeous. It provides a subtle sheen – almost natural. I believe that it can be used as a highlighter or a finishing powder and I love this flexibility.
If you like complexion that looks clean and polished, you might like this.
