This Fall, Lunasol introduced a range of Three Dimensional Eyes – a four-color eye shadow set that creates well-calculated three-dimensional eyes through colors inspired by skin-colored beige and the gradation of different lusters. Highlight Color and Shade Color consists of three different levels of luster to manipulate light and shadow more precisely.
The new Lunasol Three Dimensional Eyes is available in 5 variations. Each palette contains 4g of product, made in Japan and retails at S$77.
I had a hard time deciding which palette to pick. All of them are really beautiful. I would have picked up 01 Natural Beige and 05 Deep Beige but I figured I have too many brown and neutral palettes. So, I went for something a little gold with khaki – 04 Cool Beige, perfect.
Lunasol Three Dimensional Eyes in 04 Cool Beige includes the following shades;-
-
shimmery antique white
-
shimmery beige taupe
-
warm khaki with golden sparkles
-
soft khaki sand with multi coloured sparkles
From my last Lunasol purchase, I was really impressed with the texture of their Ocean Scene Eyes in Shelly Ocean. I have done a look featuring this palette here. Swatches of Shelly Ocean can be found here and here. When I learnt that Lunasol will be releasing a new range of eyeshadow palettes, I was very much looking forward to seeing them.
The new range didn’t fail to impress me either – very smooth, silky, blendable and colour payoff was good. However, I find them less buttery and creamy in texture compared to the Ocean Scene Eyes range. But, they are still as stunning especially the sparkle and shine.
The colours in this palette blends very well together. You can create natural, sparkling eyes and change it to dramatic, smoky eyes instantly. Although you can (or are supposed to) use each of the 3 shades separately, I normally blend them together like the swatches above. I didn’t experience any fall-outs when applying the colours and they stay on throughout the day – for about 6-8 hours, with or without an eyeshadow primer.
I think I wear this palette more with an eyeshadow primer because I have been practicing the habit of prepping my lids lately.
Overall, love. I could do with 1 or 2 more. Say maybe, 02 Soft Beige and 03 Mysterious Beige – very pretty and feminine shades. Take a look at Elain-nio’s look featuring 03 Mysterious Beige here.
Thank you for reading and did you pick one up too?
